[Continued from the Talamasca in London board from the A Taste of a Normal Life thread] Two weeks had passed since she’d been drugged and kidnapped from her apartment. Those two weeks were spent being interrogated and tortured for information about some place called the Motherhouse and people like her with abilities. All of which she didn’t know a thing about. Surprisingly, her hair didn’t singe as many times as she’d been shocked by the collar. She was told she’d be seeing a doctor soon who would fix her so she would be normal. “Heads up!” One of the Captives called out. The orderly, Ole Jack, came into the recreation room scanning the place like the Terminator. Beth lowered her eyes from his gaze. The mental chess game began. She was sitting adjacent from Warren Bailey who was noticeably cheating at the card game they were playing. He stared blankly at his cards when his face lit up suddenly. Beth knew that look. Warren had down syndrome and he could not help the trigger that Ole Jack pulled within him. “Warren.” She whispered. “Don’t…” “GOLDFISH!” He flung his cards straight up into the air and stood up from his chair. “Number of players! Four to seven! Age range six and up! Fun for the whole fam-i-ly!” Warren shouted as he backed up nervously when the orderly came at him. Beth looked around the room at the other Captives. They all knew what was about to happen. She couldn’t stop it. The tears began to well up into her eyes for Warren who didn’t know any better. Her hands began to shake because of the drugs. Warren raised his hands before his face and twinkled his fingers. “Ooooh you had me at hello, Jackie Boy!” Ole Jack with his mohawk and bodybuilder form and sleeve tattoo had Warren back up against the wall. “I’m gonna make you shut up.” Ole Jack sneered and slowly turned his head towards Beth, his other target. “I’m gonna say hi to your girlfriend. That’s okay isn’t it, Warren?” He made his way over to Beth who was still looking at her cards. He slammed his fist on the table, jolting a gasp from her. Jack leaned down over the table and stared at Beth. “Can I play...cards with you?” When Beth didn’t reply he cupped her chin and tilted her head up to face him. Even still, she kept her eyes averted and said nothing. That didn’t stop Jack. He leaned closer still, she could smell the alcohol and cigarettes on his breath. He whispered against her cheek, “I...am going to...break.you.downnnn.” The lights in the room began to flicker. The glass behind the barred window cracked and spider veined. The table vibrated. Beth finally looked into Ole Jack’s eyes. “Someday, I’m going to kill you.” She whispered back. It was then that the nurses came into the room to give out meds. Ole Jack took out a syringe, removed the cap and squirted some of the liquid out. Beth didn’t try to fight. Not today at least.

"They won't be quiet." Shinra said aloud but low enough that only he could hear. He now sat in an unbreakable plastic chair the very corner of the recreation room with a small table,A Therapist was sitting across from him asking him questions. But a voice inside his head echoed like static from a Television, seeming to scratch on the inner walls of his mind.
"M A K E T H E M Q U I E T, K I L L. T H E M.'
As Shinra drew, he spoke low once again. "No.....".
"So Shinra, how do you feel right now?" The therapist asked as she would point to the picture asking kindly. The therapist looked to be a woman in her middle to late thirty's, long brunette thick hair, an hourglass like shape with glasses and freckles and wearing what was a white button up shirt and black slacks and a pair of black flats. On the paper was a vivid black looking entity, and the eraser marks on the face made them look like hollowed out white eyes.
"I'm fine." Shinra replied when the voice in his head yelled out again. "N O, Y O U ' R E N O T." Shinra began to scratch his head slamming the pencil down on the table having what seemed to the therapist as outburst.
"Shut up!!!!" He angerly yelled, the therapist seeming to jump scared at his random burst of sudden anger. But she would reply back to him.
"Who are you telling to shut up?" She would say in a questioning tone she trying to reach for the paper and pencil as she spoke. But Shinra's hand would reach out and grab her by the wrist keeping it pinned to the table top as he now had the pencil in a full reverse grip. He would pull her close his face now near her ear, he only whispered
"The voice is so loud, I just want it to shut up." It wasn't to short afterwords that Shinra had leaned back and began to plunge the pencil into the therapists forearm, a shriek yell of pain came from her lips as she screamed for help to come, within a mere matter of seconds a group of five burly orderlies rushed into the room accompanied by a nurse. It was in under a few minutes Shinra had been sedated, put in a straight jacket and was put in the quiet room, the whole time, he was laughing as if it was all one big joke to him. "It finally shut up, he shut up." He repeated over and over until he finally became unconscious within the cell.

“Hello, how are you? Welcome to Chili’s!” Warren exclaimed and presented Beth with a plate of food that consisted of a sandwich, an apple and a glass of milk. She hadn’t eaten anything in 2 days and he noticed. He really was a sweetheart. She was so glad that his Supernatural power was that he had unbreakable skin. It truly was a blessing. He didn’t have to endure the shots or the surgeries or the abuse because of his rock hard skin. The doctors haven’t stopped trying to find a way around it though.
He held the sandwich up to her mouth and she took a bite. The drugs made her feel so high that she could hardly move. Her brain was fuzzy.
"Shut up!!!!" a captive yelled out in anger. Warren and Beth turned their heads to see the captive sitting across from the therapist. He had on a mask…
He had pulled the therapist close and whispered something in her ear and then plunged a pencil into her arm. The orderlies came in and quickly took him away as expected.
Beth blinked, trying to form words but only managed to giggle. Warren then giggled too. “Cancelled! She won’t be back next season!” Warren lifted Beth’s limp hand and made her high-five him.
The therapist angrily hissed and held her arm which was bleeding. “Get this cleaned up!” She yelled, talking about the blood. She stormed out with a file in her hand.
“Night night time for you.” Warren said and put Beth’s arm around his neck. He scooped her up and carried her out of the rec room and to her cell.
They passed by the masked man’s cell and Warren peeked through the tiny window and smiled. “Night night.” He whispered softly. He then got to Beth’s cell where he gently laid her down on her bed. He patted her head like you would a dog. He left quietly.

[The Next Morning]
Ole Jack had a job to do and he loved doing it. He took a swig from his silver flask and smiled. “Top of the mornin to ya shitheads!” He yelled down the cell block. The sound echoed down the cold dark corridor.
The keys jingled on his belt loop as he stalked his way over to a control panel on the wall. He heard Warren in his cell singing up to the high heavens, Terri Gibbs ~ Somebodies Knocking.
“Lord give me strength…” Ole Jack said between gritted teeth.
He hit a button with Warren’s cell number above it. The vents inside his cell opened and gas poured inside. Warren’s skin might have been unbreakable but he was not immune to breathing in the gas that would knock him on his happy arse.
He smirked when he heard coughing. Looking into his cell window Ole Jack saw Warren slump to the floor with his headphones still on. He hated the noise the fella made when he knew his friend Beth was going somewhere he could not follow.
He unlocked Beth’s cell. “Come out and get against the wall. If ye try anything I’ll light you up like a friggin Christmas tree.” He threatened. “Up against the wall. Now.” He ordered.
He waited until she obeyed. “We are going to see the doctor today. I expect you both to follow me and not give me any troubles. Feel me?”
He unlocked Shinra’s cell and then felt hot liquid vomit spray down his naked back. He turned to see Beth collapse. She had dark circles under her eyes and her face was pale white. “Shite!”
He picked Beth up and slung her over his shoulder. “Going to see the good doctors right now lass. Hang on.”
Down the dark corridor they went. In the moment, Ole Jack forgot that he had left Shinra’s cell unlocked.

[Continued from The Examination Room thread]
Beth slowly and timidly entered the recreation room. She had on a clean set of clothes. The dark circles under her eyes were gone and her skin looked healthy. She felt a lot better after her stay in the doctor's office.
Warren spotted her and came running. He was all smiles as he picked her up in a bear hug. He planted tiny kisses all over her face making her laugh. “I missed you Beth!” Warren exclaimed. Beth hugged him back, “I missed you to my friend.”
She wiped the tear from his eye and said. “Come on, let's play cards.”
Warren set the table up for them and brought snacks and cokes which was their normal ritual. As they played cards Beth remembered the open window in the doctor's office and began to make a plan of escape. She’d of course take Warren with her but she could not breathe a word of it until the day of. Warren might spell the beans. Not that he would do it on purpose.

Shinra had spent what seemed like an eternity within the quiet room, as punishment for what he did to the therapist he was wrapped up in a straight jacket and just laid there in the cell motionless. Shinra counting the seconds, minutes and hours as he did while he also had a nice chat with himself as well, talking about his life, and how his other half sought to make it how you would say fun.
"You liked hurting that therapist, didn't you?."
"No...why?"
"Come on don't lie like that." A simple giggle happened from within Shinra.
"I didn't, she was nice...she only asked about my art, it wasn't her fault that you got angry."
"She was an awful bitch, you know as good as anyone what they do to us here." The voice in his head said as if he were up in Shinra's face. "We have to escape..."
"Escape......" The words seemed to roll off his tongue with ease, and to him the word escape was like a heavenly ray on his messed up reality that he had.
The sounds of a latch could be heard from the padded cells door, it soon being opened to the sight of a man who appeared to have the keys to the entire cell block. It was until the man's eyes averted to someone outside the cell and him running off leaving the door wide open.
Shinra would figure out a way to his feet edging over to the door before looking out in the hall both directions. He could see a multitude of doors were open and the one at the very end was locked. Even if Shinra wanted to use his ability he would have to draw his own blood in someway and with no sharp objects around and his hands bound was a no go.
Shinra would take a step out of the cell, the floor was cold on his bare feet, he would take a left out of the cell and begin wandering the corridor keeping his eyes out for orderlies and nurses alike.

Ole Jack came to a skidding halt in the long dark cold corridor. He squinted his eyes as he thought about maybe which way Shinra could have gone. There were many cell blocks. Some he was afraid to go down himself. He took his handkerchief from his back pocket and dabbed his forehead. His heart beat 90 to nothing. If he didn’t find Shinra the doctors would put HIM on their table just for kicks. Thankfully, he had left the doctors office before one of the twins slapped the ever-lovin-shit out of him and clipped his entire nut sack off for losing a patient. He never shied away from a fight but those two doctors had tricks up their sleeves. As he walked, he could hear screaming and begging. He saw blood on the walls. The higher the number on the cells the scarier it seemed. “Shinra.” He whispered. “Come out ye little shite!” Ole Jack waited and strained to listen. The never ending screams for mercy made him nervous. He made his way back to the recreation room. There he saw Beth playing cards with the retard Warren. Looking at Beth made his britches tight. He stood before her even though she ignored him as she always did. He didn’t care. He stared at her breast trying to see her nipples because he knew the ladies were not allowed to wear a bra. When she crossed her arms over her chest he chuckled low in his throat. Some day he was going to visit her cell and ravish her. Probably more than once. “Have ye seen Shinra around here, lass?” When she didn’t respond he grabbed a lock of her blonde hair and smelled it. He dropped her hair when he thought he saw Shinra pass by the window. He dashed out of the recreation room and sprinted down the hall again. He stopped and listened hard. Then suddenly….Ole Jack let out a long fart. The sound traveled and echoed down the long hall. The sick bastard needed to go to the bathroom for a rewipe soon.

Snapchat-2105411086.jpg The walls seemed to echo with the pitter patter of Shinra's feet, he now was running again he came to a T like hallway. The left being absolutely dark with a grate door barring it off from what his eyes could see And to the right was another witch had the old fashion hanging florescent bulbs in a circle shade that flickered every couple of seconds, The air smelled musty and was stagnant and to Shinra fresh air was what he really craved most of all. As Shinra would take the right sided path he came across a normal steel door the knob appeared to be rusted and a large window witch most likely was a thick glass had been fogged up and had a few surface cracks that came from the corners. Shinra began to eye over the door, looking at the edges of it to see if there was any deformities that may be with the door, to much his luck was none. But he would decide to try anyways. Shinra would end up taking a few steps backwards, his right shoulder blade touched the wall and he then ran at the door attempting to slam it with his left shoulder to force it open causing a loud thump to echo in the hall. "Ghha." A shot of pain reverberated into his shoulder, the door didn't budge even an inch. Shinra would then back up again to do the same with as much force as his body would allow. Again another loud thump echoed again, this time it made Shinra slip down to the floor and having no way to catch himself he hit the concrete hard.

As soon as Ole Jack left the recreation room Beth stood from the table. “Come on Warren.” She took his hand and led him out into the hall. “Where are we going?” Warned asked. “Shhh. We are going to play hide and seek. I need you to be quiet.” Beth whispered.
She knew it was time for her meds and she didn’t want to be found. The time for escape was now. The sound of their feet slapped against the cold floor. They stopped when the hall split. She didn’t know which way to go.
Then there was a sound that echoed down the hall. Warren laughed out loud, “Somebody farted!”
Beth put her hand over his mouth. “Shhh.” She took his hand and they ran until she saw Ole Jack. A slow smile spread across his face. They began to run the other direction.
There was a loud bang and it was then that she saw Shinra on the floor. “Warren help him up.” She said. Ole Jack was walking with an arrogant air about him. Beth could feel a surge flow through her. With her telekinetic power she made a cell door slam open, hitting Ole Jack in the face.
“He’s coming! Come on, we have to hide!” Beth said to them both. The medicine was wearing off.

I hid behind the walls of the massive corridors watching the whole thing unfold like a late night bad sitcom. I had prepared the coffee, as usual that day, and thought I would have a little fun with Ole Jack by putting a strong laxative into his mug. His smell was as usual permeating the air making me wanna gag, oh well, some pranks just fall back and bite you in the ass right?!
Out of the corner of my eye I heard a loud thump and saw the patient Shinra slump down to the floor. Damn, that's gotta smart! "Sorry dude, I'm gonna need doctors orders to give you something for the pain."
I bent down to remove his mask, and then stopped myself short, "Poor Shinra," I said with a smile, "Desperate to leave and no way out!" I stood up, straightened out my dress, then delicately stepped over the patient. "I'll wait until you need me, until you BEG for me and then I NEVER come, it's just so much more fun that way!"
Looking both ways down the corridor, I opened a secret compartment designed centuries ago for medical staff, and then I simply disappeared into the darkness of the asylum.

The sudden impact to his face sent him staggering backward as pain rattled him. “Jesus, Mary and Joseph!” He exclaimed. Wiping the blood from his nose he glared at the trio of captives as they made a run for it.
“Get back here!” He chased them down the hallway. The lights flickering overhead. He stopped...feeling a grumble in his belly. He had coffee earlier and now he felt the urgent urgency to drop a mad duty in the toilet.
He wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Nurse!” He called from his walkie. Nothing but static. Then he remembered Nurse Crayzee had givin him that cup o’ coffee. She had a knack for pulling pranks. “That wench..” He whispered.
Clinching his butt cheeks together and ignoring the pain in his gut he didn’t let the captives get out of his sight for they were slow moving.
It was then that on the overhead speakers a song began to play eerily on a scratchy record within the asylum
Nurse Crayzee no doubt had something to do with it. She was probably in her office right now swaying to the music. He would find that record later and break it but for now he had to show who was boss around here.
He put two fingers in his mouth and let out a sharp whistle. The hall stopped at a dead end and the captives had no choice but to stop.
Ole Jack now held a remote. The same remote to their collars they wore.
Jack shoved a nurse back who was taking a patient to see the doctors. He whistled with the song playing as he pushed the wheel chair down the dead end hallway. He looked at each of the captives and stepped backwards allowing a good amount of space between them.
“So, ye think ye got one over on Ole Jack do ye? Well, this is what happens when ye disobey me. Watch closely.” He grinned.
He pressed a button on the remote. The collar on the patient sitting in the wheel chair lit up like a red ring. The patients head exploded. Blood, bone, skin, eyeballs and mucus flew up to the ceiling and rained down over the captives the walls and the floor.
Ole Jack chuckled low in his throat.

The shock of the head exploding was bad enough but the warm oozing gore that was on her face, hair and all over was a horror she never felt before. The body slumped in the wheelchair with a sickening squelch. Ole Jack chuckled like a man who just won at a card game.
“Cleanup on aisle one!” Warren shouted with his fist in the air. Beth turned to the corner and vomited violently.

“Oh aye? Ye want a clean up do ye, Warren? Well, buckle up lad. It’s going ta be a bumpy ride!” His laugh rang out.
Ole Jack pulled the wheelchair to the nurse who stood there in shock. “Get rid of this in the woods out back will ya?”
The nurse just blinked at him. “Scoot.” He whispered in her ear. “Get ya arse out of here lass before ye get got. Feel me?” The nurse wordlessly then began to power walk away from him and the bloody mess.
Jack then unraveled a firehose from the wall. It came in handy for all the blood and other liquids that spewed within the halls. Plus, there was a drain in the floor.
He stood there with the hose and aimed. Without warning the water sprayed out hitting hard. He smiled, his piss yellow teeth gleaming, spraying everything, washing all the blood and gore away and not caring how the captives were struggling.

"I’m by the rec room, I need some strong hands to take Warren to his cell.” Ole Jack said into his walkie. Two orderlies came and drug Warren away kicking and screaming. He’d be alright after he got a change of dry clothes and watched an episode or two of Sponge Bob.
His phone dinged. He got a text from Nurse Crayzee:
ole Jack, our new patient is down here in Block B/West Wing...bring a sheep, this vampy down here is hungry.
What did she think this was McDonalds? There was no sheep or sheep blood anywhere on the property. He sent a text back that read:
Nurse Crayzee you are crazier than cat shite. Be sending some O-negative shortly. Your loving knight in shining armor, Ole Jack.
“Send some O-negative to B/West Wing.” He said in the walkie to the nurses station.

Shinra had laid on the floor for about a minute or so from him trying to ram the door open left him to where it dislocated his shoulder, he found it hard to move he managing to roll into his side where it didn't hurt but a face soon crouched over him.
It was a nurse, a bat shit crazy one at that, he squirmed as she tried to take off his mask. But her hand would soon retreat and she would disappear off somewhere else. Not too long after Shinra could hear an explosion over the intercom witch in turn made him want to move back to the rec room.
Shinra crawled like a worm moving an inch at most at a time. But he would hear a voice from behind "Awe poor patient, have you resorted from being a fox into a bug? Here let me help you." The orderly roaming the halls would say as he grabbed Shinra by the back of his hair and then dragged him along taking him to the examination room.

The blast from the fire hose made her skin raw and weakened her from trying to fight against it. Her face had hit the wall causing her to have a busted lip. She coughed trying to catch a breath.
Ole Jack roughly pulled her to her feet and she weakly hit his chest with her fist as she heard Warren yelling. Two strong orderlies was dragging him away.
“Don’t you hurt him!” Beth shouted in his face and struggled in his grasp. She coughed again as Ole Jack grabbed her arm and forced her to go with him.
They were walking with another orderly and the captive she’d seen before. She could tell he was different by the mask he wore. But in this place everyone was different in their own way.
The journey to the examination room seemed to go on forever. Her feet were so cold against the floor that her teeth started to chatter. The dark hallway smelled like cigarettes and death. A large rat scurried across their path.
She glanced sideways at the other captive as they walked. She was curious about him even in this bad situation they were in. She at least wanted to let him know that he wasn’t alone. Maybe she wanted to let herself know that as well.
“I’m Beth...have you been here long?” She whispered softly to the other captive.
[Shinra and Beth's story continues in The Examination Room thread]
