1) This is a "literate" amateur, horror-based writing forum. Our stories are based primarily on the Vampire Chronicles or on any other characters we like such as Being Human, Warm Bodies, True Blood, etc. We do not claim them as our own, neither do we pretend we actually ARE those characters. This is not a communicate-with-the-immortals based forum.
2) The storyline takes place in whatever year/era you would like. The scene setting is up to you. Any location is possible, if you don't see it listed, request it and it will be added.
3) The most important thing is that the post should be at least a paragraph of at least five full sentences. It should reflect your characters thoughts and actions and a good reaction to your writing partner´s post. Spend time on your posts.
4) Be friendly towards everyone, if there are any problems between members, Administration will solve them if you let us know. Resulting in Ip's being banned as well as e-mail address. We promise.
5) You are not allowed to post the actions or words of any character but your own.
6) You are allowed to have one Vampire Chronicle character that is not already taken and as many original supernatural characters as you would like. After posting steadily for two months, you may add as many mortal characters as you would like.
7) You are allowed to grab a character that has already died if you can play them well and provide a reason for their returning in their bio. If not leave them dead.
8) If writing partners agree characters can have sex. If you don´t like it, don´t have any. This is NOT a porn site! We will not tolerate stories posted with no plot and excessive sex between the characters. These forums are easy enough to make and they are free, if that's the kind of writing you want, then please make your own forum.
9) Let Administration know if you will not be able to be active for more than a month. If you need more than a month leave of absence, let us know in announcements. If you have writers block, just post in the Coliseum so we know you are still interested in being here.
10) Once you have joined please ask permission to enter a storyline/ thread that has already begun...in progress. You can ask permission in Day Dreamers and Dreamweavers.
11) If you are not sure where to begin posting, leave a message on "Day Dreamers and Dreamweavers" Along with your story ideas. After posting your bio, have a list of story ideas. It will help us to fit you somewhere so that your character is not wandering aimlessly and unnoticed.
12) We take the characters on this forum seriously. If you are playing a VC character, stay true to his/her nature. For example, do not make Louis suddenly a bright ray of sunshine or Lestat overly pensive. He is a powerful character, play him as such.
13) Although we take the VC characters seriously, parodies of the characters are welcome outside of storylines as long as you keep them in character.
14) You may post one liners-shorts, in the Theatre, The Vampire Bar and The Colliseum. The "Stories of our Immortal Lives" is for storylines only, please do not post storylines in the bar or the theatre or the Colliseum, you may however "add" a bar or theatre to your storyline thread.
Writing posts as fan fiction is encouraged on this forum.
ADDENDUM:
If anyone is found to have intentionally deceived anyone on this forum, that person will automatically be deleted once a confirmation has been made on the allegation. No questions will be asked. This is for the protection of all the writers on this forum. As far as I'm concerned, if you have lied to my friends, then you have lied to me!
The posting of real life lovers is discouraged in storylines, as a simple lovers spat could break a storyline that many writers have been working on.
If you have an obsessive need to write, I understand. But if you write to calm your nerves, you may want to seek out another rpg. We make quality posts here, as such not all of our writers post day to day, and for an obsessive writer this can be very frustrating.
