Immortal Love
Where do I begin? Oh. Well my name is Elizabeth Rose McMurray. I was born in the year 1506 to a well-known family in Lerwick, Scotland. I grew up to be a very beautiful young woman. I can't go on about my childhood because I don't remember it. I have jet-black hair that is just below the shoulders, ice blue eyes, I stand 5'5 and I'm very slender. Men say that I am a seductress but I don't see how they get that I am when I don't consider myself to be a seductress. In 1527, I turned 21 and was to be married to a man that I never liked, or loved for that matter. He was always a bully to me. Three nights after turning twenty-one I was at a party enjoying the time of my life when I met a man there. His name was Alexander. He was 6'2, had black hair, and hazel colored eyes and very muscular. He told me he was a Prince and that he was in his father's army in the country of Rome. The more we talked the more we fell in love with each other and he took me to his home in Rome where he married me. I then became Elizabeth Rose Lawrence His parents loved me deeply.
I never thought that anything was wrong with Alex as I noticed we were doing things primarily at night. He and I enjoyed our nights together and night after night we fell deeper in love. We experienced two miscarriages but it never pushed him away from me and he never gave up on me. As we tried for another baby, I felt Alex bite into my neck and my blood rushed into his mouth. I became very weak and drained and I could hardly breathe. "Don't give up on me Elizabeth. I love you. Drink from me my angel." Alex said to me as he cut his wrist.
He placed his wrist against my mouth and his blood filled my mouth. I began to drink deeply as he talked to me about what he was and what I was about to become. "I am a vampire. I sleep during the day as the sun and fire can kill me. The same now goes for you. We will live forever you and I. Now in an hour's time, you will feel pain, it is only your body dying. I will not leave your side my beautiful bride." He said to me comforting me.
We lay next to each other and then the moment hit. I felt sick; I hurt like crazy. I cried, I screamed as he muffled my mouth with his hand to keep from waking others up. It felt like my insides were exploding. My bodily wastes were excreted and the smell was horrible. He got up and rang a bell and a maid entered. He said, "Draw her a bath. She's sick. I will bathe her you just gather some fresh clothes and change my bed sheets."
The lady did as she was told and Alex carried me to the bath and placed me into the water. Alex then stripped off his clothes and sank in behind me. He bathed me and kept me in his arms. From that night on out, we stayed together. He educated me on my new lifestyle and other things and we never had an argument since we had first met. Never once until one night his father woke us up and told him he had to go into battle. When his father left, I said, "No. Don't do it Alex."
"Elizabeth, I have to." He replied.
I began to cry and said, "I don't like this feeling I have. Please! Please, stay with me. Don't leave me. Please I beg of you!"
“Elizabeth, I will be fine darling. I will come home to you and I will comfort you, and we will continue to be happily married. I will write to you okay my dearest?” He asked.
I replied, “No it’s not okay. The feeling that I have is that you’re not going to return to me at all. I see it and I feel it and I do not like it.”
“My sweetest Elizabeth. I love you very much and I will come home to you. Just trust me and have faith okay.” He said kissing her.
Just like that Alex walked out the door and into battle. The letters came and I responded, until one night I awoke to an emergency letter from someone else. Someone who knew what we were, and was also likes us.
“Dear Elizabeth, I am writing to tell you bad news, but first I must state who I am and what I am. My name is Damien and I am a vampire as well. I was the one who sired Alexander. The bad news is, in the midst of fighting, I had been hollering for Alex, as you call him, to come with me to take cover from the daylight, he didn’t make it. The sun hit him and burnt him. I am sorry for this news. We are located just below the Roman borders. Forever, Damien”
Chapter 1 part 2
I cried and cried nights in and nights out. The blood tears stained my face but I kept my face clean. Two nights after receiving the letter, I gathered my things up despite the pleadings from my mother and father in law not to go out there, I went anyways. I arrived within two nights time, and everyone seemed to stop upon my getting out of the carriage. Gasps were heard at the sheer beauty of my appearance. I made my way to a man whom had stepped forward. “Milady, Damien at your service.” A man said taking my hand and kissing the top of it.
I only nodded. I pulled a black veil over my face to conceal the blood tears that were starting to form. Damien took me to where my beloved’s ashes were. I stood there looking down at them. Tears falling and I only whispered, “I told you, my love, that you would end up leaving me. If only you had listened to me.”
Damien had his arm around my waist to keep me steady, as I was feeling faint. I hadn’t fed in a few days and he knew this. Damien ushered me into his tent and sat me down. He ordered someone to do something and when he or she returned they had a nice victim for me. The victim was from the other country’s army. “Take my dear.” He said to me gently.
He didn’t have to tell me twice, as I moved and sank my fangs into the Carotid artery in his neck. His blood rushed into my mouth, and down my greedy throat. I finished the man within five minute and two more were brought to me that night from the other army. Once I had my fill, Damien took my hand and said, “I will take care of you. He was my son, and now you’re my daughter. My vampire daughter whom I will love with all my heart. I want you to know that he loved you with all his heart. I will protect you, and care for you like he did. The war is almost over and I can take you home to my place in Scotland where it is I believe you lived.”
I only nodded my head. He looked so much like my Alexander. And I know he picked up on this thought. “Alexander was my biological son as well as my fledgling. His aunt and uncle took him from me when his mother died. Being a vampire, I was able to track him down and secretly meet with him. I became a solider in his father’s army so that I could see him whenever I wanted to and come off as just a friend. Don’t worry my darling one. You will still have all the riches you could ever ask for.” He said brushing my hair out of my face.
He looked at the man again and instructed him to tell my carriage driver some instructions. Damien led the man outside to tell the driver to go back to the palace and pack my things and to come back here to this location. He had ten days tops to get everything finished. After all it was only a three-day journey. Dismissing the driver and the man who was also sent to help, Damien reentered the tent and sat next to me. My soul felt empty. My heart had a huge void. I continued to cry and Damien did everything he could to comfort me. After about two weeks, Damien and I grew closer together. He picked up on my lessons where Alexander had left off. Everyone that saw Damien and I together, thought that we were husband and wife, as I hadn’t took off my wedding band and he had naturally placed Alexander’s on his left finger. We allowed them to think like this. When it was time to go into the death sleep, I would go to sleep in Damien’s arms.
It was how I moved on and learned to cope with my loss. To hold the memory but to never let it bring tears to my eyes. For my Alexander would see me again someday. For the next 150 years, I roamed the country of Scotland with Damien. He was showing me all there was to know about Scotland. He was there when I watched my mortal family die and comforted me. But in the early months of the year 1627, Damien and I traveled to England. We settled into a nice countryside castle. It wasn’t as big as the Royal families castle. I loved it nonetheless. I played the piano beautifully. I made my own dresses and drapes for my new home. I had anything and everything I wanted. So long as I was happy Damien yielded to my needs. And he indeed promised to never leave me. We had finally removed the wedding rings from our fingers and stored them away for me to have to remember by. Damien had engraved names and dates on Alexander’s ring that way I’d remember him always.
One night in the summer of 1627, Damien allowed me to go out on the town in hopes that I would meet new people and mingle with men to find a new lover. Sure enough I did. I was walking by this tavern one night that summer and saw the most beautiful man alive. He had jet-black hair, icy green-colored eyes, and a beautiful smile. He seemed to remind me of my Alexander, but he didn’t need to know this. We made eye contact and as he walked away with another woman and his guy friends, we held that gaze and smiled at each other. I began to walk off to pretend I hadn’t seen him, as he walked on with his friends. I didn’t get further than twenty feet when my preternatural hearing heard him say, “Guys, I’ll be right back. I want to go talk to her.”
I smiled knowing that I had attracted a man that was like my Alexander. I could hear his footsteps and I stopped in my tracks. “Good evening Miss.” He said to me.
I smiled and said, “Good evening monsieur. How are you this fine evening?”
“I am doing great. I couldn’t help but notice you’re walking alone. Why is this?” He asked me.
I replied to him, “I walk alone, because I have no one. No family nor husband.”
“Would it be alright with you if I walked with you this evening? One shouldn’t be walking the night alone. Danger lurks around every corner you know.” He said to me.
I nodded and said, “I understand. What is your name monsieur? I have to know what your name is if you expect my company tonight.”
“It is Andrew William Calloway. And you are?” He asked.
I smiled and said, “Well Andrew, my name is Elizabeth Rose McMurray. It is nice to meet you this night kind sir.”
He smiled and took my hand and linked my arm through his, as was custom in his country. From that night out, we became good friends and even went out together to enjoy the nights. He showed me all there was to know in England. This never offended Damien. He wanted this to happen. Andrew and I fell in love with each other. “I have something for you. But I want you to never tell anyone okay. I love you with all my heart Andrew and I want us to be together. I have so much fun with you that it’s not even funny.” I said to him.
As we walked on the beach that night and I confessed my love and other feelings for Andrew, he admitted the same. I used the mind gift that I had and as we made love out on the beach, it was then that I turned him. I made him who I was. My visions of who and what I was helped him to understand what he was becoming. His mind called out to me that he wanted it. He wanted me forever. Damien stood on an embankment about 1000 feet from us and watched so as to make sure nothing went wrong and no one snuck up on us. In our climaxes, we were united by blood and by bodily fluids. I spoke to him on how his body would die and he’d go through a lot of pain but that I would be there for him. And Damien joined us. “Andrew, this is my sire Damien. He is going to help me with you. He won’t hurt you.” I said to him.
Reluctantly, Andrew understood and welcomed Damien into his heart. Damien and I never left his side while his body died to accommodate for the new blood that was going through his body. We took him into the ocean and took care of him. He had a new outfit to wear and was looking lovely when he was fully changed over. And so my new life began with the man I loved. He even asked me to marry him, which I said yes. So, now we are planning our wedding.
Part 3 of Chapter 1 Immortal Love
Andrew and I began to plan our wedding that summer. We wanted a wedding in a castle, one where it was just the two of Damien, the priest, and we. I made my wedding gown for that day choosing to use white satin with special lace over lay on the train. I made my own veil and other special things. Nothing too fancy just something that would be appropriate for the two of us. Damien was excited for he was going to walk me down to my fiancé’s side.
We decided to marry that fall in the Castle that we lived in. What better way to marry than in your own castle? Damien went all out to decorate the room we wanted to be married in. Which was the grand sitting room overlooking the gardens in the back. He had everything in order spoiling me with whatever his heart desired for this wedding.
When the big night came, I waited in my room putting my hair up and slipping into my own gown. My lady’s maid was helping lace everything up and pinning pearls and things into my hair. “Ma’am, you look so beautiful. Like an Angel.” She said to me.
I smiled and said, “Thank you Bethany. I am so excited.”
“I bet you are Miss. Any woman would be excited on her wedding day. My sister was so excited on her wedding day that she fainted three times.” The lady’s maid said.
I laughed and said, “Well let’s just hope that I don’t faint three times. I hope that I don’t faint at all you know.”
There was a knock on the door and Bethany opened it. “Elizabeth it’s Damien. Should I let him in?” She asked.
I nodded and when he stepped through I smiled at him by way of the mirror and I turned to face him. “My beautiful Daughter. Wow…Andrew will totally adore you tonight. He’s waiting and so is the priest. Shall we go?” He asked me.
I smiled and said, “Of course Father. It’s now or never eh?”
He linked his arm through mine and we made our way out into the hallway and to the top of the stairs where Bethany began to play a song for me to walk to. We descended the stairs and Andrew began to wipe at his face, with his red handkerchief so that the priest wouldn’t be suspicious. I smiled softly to him and the Priest said, “Who gives this woman to this man?”
“I do.” Damien said to the priest and Damien linked my hand with Andrew’s and kissed my cheek.
The priest prayed a prayer of blessing on Andrew and I and then it was down to business. I smiled and started repeating my vows to my beloved Andrew. “As freely, Andrew, as God has given me life, I join my life with yours. Wherever you go, I will go; whatever you face, I will face. For good or ill, in happiness or sadness, come riches or poverty, I take you as my Husband, and will give myself to no other.” I said to him smiling warmly.
He smiled and wiped at his tears again and said, “As freely, Elizabeth, as God has given me life, I join my life with yours. Wherever you go, I will go; whatever you face, I will face. For good or ill, in happiness or sadness, come riches or poverty, I take you as my wife, and will give myself to no other.”
We exchanged our rings, and the priest said, “You may kiss your bride.” And we did kiss. We bit our tongues and slipped them into each other’s mouths to further bind those vows to each other. We celebrated that night by dancing outside and having a small party with just the hired help that was available at the castle. Around dawn, Andrew, myself, and Damien, we retired to our coffins to sleep through the day. I awoke to kisses being lavished upon my body. Hands wandering. My husband making love to me was the best way to be waking up. “Good evening.” He whispered.
I smiled and cried out in a soft moan and said, “Good evening m’love.”
After an intense three hours of love making, we arose out of my bed. He must have placed me there when he woke up and started making love to me. “I’m hungry.” He said.
I smiled and said, “Well, that’s the first thing on my agenda. To feed, and then we’ll do whatever it is we want to do. I think I might make something for you or play some music I’m not sure yet.”
At that time there was a knock on the door and Damien rushed in. “Quick, get dressed. We need to move. HURRY!!!!”
We quickly did as he said and Damien scooped me up into his arms and said, “Andrew let’s go. Grab as much as you can. I got as much as I could packed. The townsmen have found out through someone that we were vampires and they are on their way to burn this place down. Quickly now we must move.”
By the time the angry mob got to my beautiful home. The home I worked so hard to decorate and make my own as well as Damien and Andrew’s, we were ten miles away, and I could see the flames that engulfed my home. I lay against Damien and cried. “Shh…my darling. It’s going to be okay. I have more homes. We will be going to America by boat during our day sleep. I have special things placed in the ship for us. We shall be safe. Bethany and the others are already there and will be dealing with those on the ship to keep us safe. Bethany would not have told on us. Apparently someone else saw something and fib, blamed it on us and so now we run for our lives.” He said to me.
I slid out of Damien’s arms and into my husband’s arms where he lavished me with kisses and with songs and with whatever he could to keep me quiet and comfortable. In no time we were on the ship and as dawn was rising, we went into our death sleep. All three of us were in one coffin. Damien was in the front, me in the middle and Andrew in the back. I was facing Andrew the whole time I slept, but I had the love and the protection of both men to keep me safe. And so our journey to America began.
Part 4 of Chapter 1 Immortal Love
As we sailed out from Scotland to America, I was silent in my thoughts. “Something bothering you my love?” Andrew asked.
I could only smile at him and I replied, “No my dear. Nothing is bothering me.”
“Okay. Well you know that I am here for you if you need me. I want you to know that I really honestly do love you. I loved you from the moment we set eyes upon each other. I would do anything for you Elizabeth.” He said to me.
I smiled and said, “I feel the same way but…”
“But what my love? What is it? Something is bothering you. I see it in your eyes.” He said.
I sighed and wrapped my arms around his waist and I said, “I…um…I want us to have a family. With Little ones of our own.”
“So do I my dear so do I but I don’t think it’s even possible.” He said.
Then we heard a familiar voice speak to us. “Anything is possible my children. Elizabeth…Do you remember my son Alexander? Your maker?” Damien said.
I nodded.
“Well… his mother and I conceived him two years after I turned her into a vampire. For some reason we can’t tolerate food solid foods but we can have children. I think it would be wonderful to hear the pitter patter of little feet. Oh and if you do have children. When they turn 18 years of age, they will go through what’s called an “Awakening” process, which is when their full vampire powers take over. I watched Alexander through the years and when he hit his 18th birthday it was a year I’ll never forget. “ Damien said.
Dawn began to approach and so the first night out at sea had ended and it was time to retire to our coffins. With each passing night, Damien, Andrew, and myself talked about starting a family. The only thing Damien expected was that he got to teach the little ones. Which Andrew and I didn’t have any real problem with him teaching the little ones. I was happy. My life would soon be completed even more.
It took us a total of nine days to get to America and when we arrived, she was a beauty. We stepped off of the ship and into our new country. Taking a carriage out as far as we could. Moving to what would be the future location of the movie “Gone With The Wind.” Yes our home was built in the same general area as the famous plantation in Atlanta Georgia. But I am getting ahead of myself. Andrew and Damien were the ones that built our home. It was one of the largest ones built only because Damien was good with architecture. We moved into our new home within six months top. Andrew and Damien had to work at mortal speeds since they were always being watched at night. A lot of people would ask how they could build at night and Damien simply replied, “It takes time and patience to build at night. But building at night has its opportunities and rewards.”
Of course my first task was making all the drapery and fabrics for the new home. I even took the liberty of ordering a few new things but people were curious about where our money came from. Town folk would say we were bank robbers. Only coming out at night because we hid from the sheriff during the day. My story was, “I was born to a wealthy family in Scotland. The king and queen lavished me with their love and affections after my parents died, and well when they died, they left me a ton of inheritance which I still run my small country.”
Yes, my friends. It did the trick. It shut them up. They believed it 100%. On the day that we were to move into our home on April 1628, I became sick. Damien had the finest doctors come out to examine why I was sick. Unfortunately neither men were allowed in the room, as it wasn’t custom in those days. The doctor opened the door after examining me and allowed them to come in. “Well Doctor? Is she okay?” Andrew asked.
The doctor smiled and said, “Of course she’s fine. Her sickness will subside in another three months. She’s only pregnant.”
Andrew began cheering and yelling and Damien shook the Doctor’s hand and paid him his bill and showed him out the door and to his carriage. “You’re going to be a daddy Andrew.” I said to him smiling.
He ran over to me and kissed me and said, “Oh baby, I’m so happy. I’m so thrilled. Our home is complete.”
“That it is my children. That it is. But the danger won’t be gone until she reaches her second trimester. We’re going to have to take extra special care of her okay.” Damien said to Andrew.
That day was the happiest day of my life, moving into my new home, and knowing I was expecting a little baby.
Where do I begin? Oh. Well my name is Elizabeth Rose McMurray. I was born in the year 1506 to a well-known family in Lerwick, Scotland. I grew up to be a very beautiful young woman.
