Templeton Manor. An estate that looks unkept and deserted from the outside. Grass grown up to the waist in the courtyard. Vines over grown across the fountains and crawling up the exterior of the mansion, giving it that haunted and gloomy look. The inside was complete opposite. Lavishly furnished and properly cleansed. It came with comforts any mortal could hope for. But why am I here you wonder? I ask myself the same question. Why would such an ancient powerful vampire be caught in the likes of the human realm? In truth, I already know the answer to that. Loneliness has taken it's toll. After living a solitary existance for so long....I crave more then exploring the world. Even blood. I could have anything I desired. Wealth? Not a problem. A home filled with nice things? Yes, indeed. Friends? Few and far between, for as they say vampires cannot stand to be in each others company for long and I have only met one vampire and a few mortals since I was givin the dark gift. Carnal pleasures? Yes....much, yet unfullfilling and empty but yet I know the encounters have to be brief and non-lingering for risk of exposure. What a pity. Could a vampire truely fall in love or was there such a thing? I did not know. Sitting here on the balcony just outside the room I have choosen for myself, over looking the beach from the backside of the mansion, I sharpen the blade of my sword with the whet stone. Killing the creatures that threaten the ones I am being "paid" to watch over has been a good source of an outlet for me. The rush. The feeling of being in battle. The need to protect. The feeling of being needed for a purpose. I tested the shiny metallic blades sharpness. Slicing the skin on my thumb as if it were no more then butter, the blood ran down my palm, quickly healing. It brought forth quite the appeal for it's effectiveness. I lapped the blood away and leaped to balcony railing, balanced, standing there as I reached around behind my head and pulled off my t-shirt, tossing it aside. Best to do so for I did not like the feel of blood-drenched fabric against my flesh. And sometimes twas not just blood but pussie slime like substance and maggots. I was not skittish about it. A quick dip in ocean would cleanse me well. Jumping down, my feet hit the ground, sword in hand. I scanned the area and could not sense the remedial type beast creatures. They were kin in some way yet totally detached. I have battled more then just the likes them since my arrival. The gigantic octopus in the ocean had caught me off guard, hence...I killed it before it could squeeze out my guts. Ye gods! Twas a mighty job but a challenge I could not very well turn down. I feel sure Zeus would have striken me with a lightening bolt if I had. Now, coming further down the beach, I halt. My wrist begins to move in a circular motion as I swing my sword, practicing my skillful moves. Although I need not do so, I had nothing better to do. No one watched and if they had they would have thought it to be some kind of sword dance. The sword above my head now, rotating as my hips did also. I brought the sword down and around my chest, then lower around my calves, moving in a circle and thrusted upward and swung around as if beheading a creature. Sword now making a whooshing sound as it slices from side to side. One with the blade. Muscles bulging with a thin sheen of blood sweat, glistening in the moonlight. Where was I? Oh yes. Why am I here in the first place? It was a night like any other at a certain vampire bar in New Orleans. I happened to be there when a certain Dr. Rowan Mayfair found herself in an...unpleasant position. Let's just say I saved her from a toothy death. Why she was in such dangerous territory, I did not know. But I did sense she was a smart individual with a hint of something else.....madness? In any case we befriended each other that night. Not in a sexual way at all. She told me the tale of the Mayfairs and some missing Taltos she located in the Bahamas at one of Ash Templeton's old mansions. She hired me to go with her to protect the Taltos in the night while she tried to persuade them to come back to Mayfair Medical in the day. Why she picked me, I do not know. I did not need the money she offered. Perhaps she knew that, knowing I'm a vampire anyways. And so that is how I came to be here. The Taltos. Creatures very unusal to me but harmless. I watch over them while Dr. Mayfair sleeps. Seems the Taltos are a bit slow and cannot fully understand how to defend themselves against the monsters lurking on this island. There are two. Sisters. Each have red hair, very tall, big feet and hands. Large eyes and large heads. White skin and they drink milk alot. Dr. Mayfair has to do alot of shopping for milk I noticed. They were kind of like taking care of babies except I did not have to do anything. Just kill the creatures and keep the mansion secure. I did not ask their names for I did not seek any attachment. I hardly ever saw them or Dr. Mayfair but I knew exactly where they were and if there was any disturbance in the mansion I would know it. Yet...there was something.....something cometh this way. I stopped my sword practice and walked along the shore of the beach. Up ahead....there was a figure on the sand. I sheathed my sword as I came upon the sleeping woman. How did she get here? I tried to penetrate her mind but she was not conscious enough for me to seek out the info. I knelt on the sand beside her. The moonlight lit up her features. Red hair like fire. Smooth unblimished skin. She looked very young and had a beautiful angel type face. Her lips were plump and rosy. Legs that went on for miles to wrap around his hard hips while he..... Oh yes. This woman could ride him well. I touched her shoulder. "Woman?" She did not move so I picked her up and carried her back to the mansion. I had to get her inside for the monsters lurking would surely tear her apart out here in the open. I took her to my rooms, moving in preternatural speed and laid her down on the soft king size bed. I nudged her. "Woman? Wake up woman." Maybe she needed that mouth to mouth? I smiled widely at the idea.

Kat had needed to get away...and why not choose a nice spot? After she had fled from the theatre, she had taken to traveling. She had visited quite a few places, but none kept her still. So she had taken a cruise. Why not? She had nothing else to hold her down. If she could get away from those who knew her, and knew her nature...then why not make the best of it while she could? She had never taken a boat anywhere before, so she was intrigued. She had spent hours near the railings, staring out over at the water in silent thoughts...firey red locks tossing and turning in the wind...and a few times, she had had to becareful because her unnaturally bright electric blue eyes had begun to shine. She could pass them off as contacts, but she could not explain away the glowing, if someone caught her. There were other things she had to worry about too.
More than once since her powers had opened to her, she had had to catch herself while she was softly singing some random tune, for if she came across any creature with high tuned hearing, it could be very...very bad. She remembered what happened last time she got careless. She was singing at a club and had not restrained her voice...a female lycan had been there and driven by her song, had shifted into her werewolve form and leapt unto the stage, attempting to maul her. She had killed the creature, but she had exposed herself and the werewolf to what they were to humans, which had caused a panic. Not all creatures wanted to just attack her though...males and females, if they swung that way sometimes...became primal, tried to mate with her, to put it nicely. She remembered that Athekka had told her that Sirens in more ancient times had actually purposely lured those creatures into trying to rape them, because they held more power than a human...while the creature would be raping them, they would drain them of thier power, essence, energy...and by the end, the creature would be a shriveled mass. How could they have stood for that? But she had not grown up in thier culture, so she understood nothing about it.
These were the thoughts that were consuming her when the boat had hit something large enough to jerk them all...actually sending some of the people over the edge of the boat railings. She hadn't gotten tossed over, but merely cause she had enough strength to hold herself down. Whatever was happening to the boat...it was bad. It had been sinking quickly and she heard a loud crash and when she turned her eyes to look, something shoved into her, knocking her back and over the side. She had hit the water hard and blacked out.
In her mind, she could hear something...and only after a while, she could distinquish it as words.
"Woman? Wake up woman."
Confusion flooded her mind and she tried to open her eyes, but nothing happened...tried to speak, but nothing came. What was going on? Where was she? It was as if there were a blanket over her memory and she was immobile, a vegatable and fear crept through her. There's no way...no way that she's paralyzed...then suddenly, her memory flooded back to her and her eyes snapped open...the blue was shining thier siren power...the colors swirling around together in a slow motion, filling her entire eye. With as close as the face was, she was sure that they could tell. Every muscle tensed and she let let out a shiek pitched shriek that peirced the room, filled it unaturally. It wasn't high enough to her full potential, but at least maybe good enough to startle the man and give her leverage of some sort. She was scrambling backwards on the bed, eyes wide, mouth slightly parted as if threatening to scream again.
She was soaked through and through, her black sleeveless tank top clinging like a second skin to her cool flesh and so had her pants. She could feel that she had soaked the bed beneath her and she just realized just how cold she was. Her back was pressed up against the headboard, eyes still wide and it felt as if it took an eternity for her to finally find the words to speak.
"Who the hell are you? Where the fuck am I?"
She demanded, her voice lower than most woman's voices, but usually had a sultry sound to it...but right now, it was merly like a bark of an order, only showing command and bite to it. Ok, so she wasn't the most pleasant person and she didn't use niceties most of the times. Infact, most of the time she was rather blunt and just spoke her mind. She didn't really care though...she just wanted to know what the hell was going on and what had happened. The man before her was handsome...and she could tell now that he was something unhuman...and with her nature unguarded, she was able to tell that he was a vampire, though there was a lot of power that eminated from him. It didn't help matters...if anything, it made her more suspisious. Her first thought was that someone had finally tracked her down...

When she first awoke I looked into her electric blue swirling eyes as she looked into my icy blue ones. There was fear mixed with confusion for she did not know where she was. Her soaked clothes clung to her curvaceous body, nipples hard through her wet shirt. A startling screech came from her as she scuttled backwards on the bed. The sound sent a chill up my spine and irritated me mightly. "Ye gods! Woman! Must you screech so?"
I whirled around and went to the bathroom to fetch her some towels for she was dripping on the bedcovers. I threw them to her and they fell across her face before she could catch them.
"Who the hell are you? Where the fuck am I?" She demanded.
"Stop your blathering woman! And do not use that "word" around me for I do not take it lightly." She looked confused. "You know the word I'm talking about." I leaned in towards her slowly making her head tip back so she would have to look up into my eyes. My lips a breath away from hers. "The word.......Fuck." It was said in a deep sensual tone that sounded sexy instead of horrible. I moved away from her to the balcony, hands in my pockets, the sheer curtains blowing behind me. She could see me from that distance but if I had stayed next her I would have stripped off her clothes and had my wicked way.
"I am Eudorus. This is Templeton Manor. I guard and protect the people living here from the creatures of this place. You are on the island of the Bahamas. Did you hit your head?" I turned back to her. "Who are you, woman? A scavenger of sorts? If you were looking for buried treasure I assure you there is none." Her scowl made me want to laugh but I kept a straight face.

Kat could hear the oddness of his words, the manner in which he spoke. She ripped the towels from her as he tossed them and held them to her tightly, letting the water soak into them. It didn't help much. When he spoke again, a look of confusion passed over her face. She stiffened against the bed, her face forced to tip back so she could keep her eyes upon him as he leaned in and her heart fluttered hard in her chest...as he spoke just about her lips, the sound of his voice making things tighten in her body, despite her. But soon, he was moving from her, out unto the balcony. His voice came out once more and she narrowed her eyes at his form as she stared at him. She began to blot the towel against her skin and her clothes....it soaked up more of the water, but it still didn't help much. The towel was already soaked with the water it had taken.
"I'm not a fucking scavender....I...My name is Kat...and don't tell me what I can and can not say."
She muttered, ignoring what he had said a few moments hence. She didn't like taking 'orders' from anyone, and she had taken that as him ordering her to do or do not do something. Her feirce eyes glared up at him as she sat on the bed against the headboard, her knees brought up to her chest now. She was still freezing her ass off, but she didn't even have clothes to change into, betting that all of her things were lost with the boat.
"I was on a cruise ship...the thing crashed and that's the last thing I remember before I blacked out. So how is it I got stuck on some stranger's bed?"
She said, not hiding the suspicion from her voice as she spoke. She wasn't going for polite...not when she didn't know who the guy was. For all she knew, he planned to chop her to bits or worse. And even if he had just found her, she didn't like the idea of being in anyone's debt. She didn't like vampires really, much less trust them...had had too many bad experiences with them. She remembered how one had tried to make her into a pet when she had been lured to the theatre. Aparently, he liked the thought of having a Siren as a pet. She let out a low growl under her breath before she really thought of it and could stop herself.

My vampiric senses were reeling. How did she have such an effect on me? She was strong willed alright and mighty stubborn! I turned sharply giving her a warning, a low rumble in my throat as she used that particular word. If she did not watch her tongue I would take her up on it. Damn right. She was cold. I could tell. Perhaps Dr. Rowan had some clothes she could wear. They were about the same size after all.
"Well, Kat. That is an odd name." She glared up at me, my expression unreadable as I stepped closer to her again. I raised a hand to silence her rapid mouth moving for I did not want any argumentation. "I found you on the beach where you apparently washed up. Twas lucky the moonlight shone on you for you might have met my blade. I have slayed many creatures on this island and I could not read your thoughts. You were unconscious so I carried you here and that is how you ended up in MY bed." More glaring from her.
"I will go fetch you some clothes and a dry coverlet for the bed." I moved in a blur to Dr. Rowan's room and grabbed out of her closet a shirt, pants, shoes and nightgown. I did not know what else to get so I grabbed an extra coverlet from the top shelf and came back to my rooms.
I walked towards her, sensing she was pissed off at me for something she suspected. "Here." I said, offering the clothes as she seemed to be growling at me. "You have a fiery temper wild Kat. Maybe I will toss you into the ocean to cool you off." Her lips began to move to object to what I just said and I could not control my action. Whomp! My mouth came down on hers in a hard kiss to shut her up. Plunging my tongue into her sweet mouth forcefully over and over again. "Mmm," I groaned, placing my hands on her hips, squeezing the flesh through the material of her pants. She tried to pull away but I sucked her tongue back into my mouth, getting the last word, so to to speak. I came up for air slightly dazed, my fangs exposed but I righted myself before she could see.
"I do not like you." I stalked towards the balcony and turned back around. "So do not be thinking that I do." Running a hand through my hair. "I must go to ground, the sun is about to rise. You may roam the mansion but do not go to the west wing. It's off limits." And with that I vanished before I ravished her to pieces.

She heard that rumble that escaped him and she narrowed her eyes, giving a low growl in return. She didn't fear him and she would show it. She kept those fierce eyes upon him, following every move he made...not wanting to have him out of her sight. She was about to say something and he held up his hand as he stepped closer to her and she leered at him. She did not trust him at all. Before she could say anything else, he was a blur of movement and he was gone.
She straightened up some, her eyes searching the room, fingers still tightly clutched to the towels pressed against her. But soon, he was back and she couldn't help but let out another low growl of discontent. Her face flushed red with anger as he spoke once more, this time of tossing her in the ocean, but before she could make a snide remark...suddenly, his lips were upon her own and for a moment she was lost, not knowing exactly what was happening, until his tongue plunged past her lips forcefully and she let out a muffled cry, her heart fluttering like a trapped frantic butterfly in her chest. She could hear him groan against her lips and his hands were soon pressing and squeezing hard to her hips. She struggled to pull away from him, her body squirming underneath his, even as things lower in her body tightened dispite herself once more and that only fueled her anger.
When he finally pulled away, she thought she glimpsed a flash of something, but it was gone and he left her gapping at him, her face bright red with anger and shock. But before she could recover enough to try and rip his head off in her rage, he was gone. She scrambled up, running to the balcony, the cool wind brushing against her hot cheeks and she let out a frustrated scream/growl of anger.
"Come back here!"
She screamed, her voice a loud growl of rage...her eyes were already swirling and glowing brightly with blue again as the rage triggered her Siren half and a silvery streak had begun to form in her hair...her skin faintly glowing, but it was only the starts of it. She took in a deep breath and tried to calm herself to think. She was reminded that she was still freezing, as the wind played against her soaked flesh and clothes. She let out a low growl and moved into the room, snatching up the towel as she roughly began to strip herself of the wet clothes and discarded them to the floor. She towel dried her skin as best she could and then slipped on the pants, top and shoes. They were a plain pair of washed out blue jeans and a red tank top. Nothing spetacular, but she didn't care. The west wing huh? Hmm...well let's see just what's in the west wing. It's probably where the little bastard was hiding.
She moved out from the room and began to stalk the hallways, not caring to make herself quiet for the moment, her anger too great for that.
"Come out, come out, whereever you are...I'm not finished with you!"
She called out in a sing song voice at first, though the last part came out in a growl of anger and threat.

I could feel her anger. It was like hot lava running freely. Ye gods! She was a wild Kat indeed! Being so ancient I could detect her moving through the mansion but of course....when I said underground I ment it. My lair was no where near the mansion. In one last retaliation I use the power of the mind and closed every window and door in the mansion. Kat was not supose to go to the west wing. It was the Taltos private territory. I went underground and fell in the death sleep.
~NEXT NIGHT~
I exploded out of the ground, shooting across the sky like a comet. The undead was lurking. I soared, circled the area, before landing. My sword was unsheathed even before my feet hit the ground running. I spun around and sliced. Blood splattered across my chest, the head rolled. I hacked my way through the creatures until every last one was dead....for real. And to make sure I built a bon fire and burned the heads and buried the bodies deep in the ground.
It was exhausting.
I put out the fire and covered it up then jumped into the ocean to wash the blood from my skin. It stank and was not the blood I needed to survive. I went into a village and feed off three mortals but did not kill them. The blood lust was not as strong in me as it had been in my earlier years. My skin was tanned before I was given the dark gift and when it began to fade I stood in the sun long enough to get it back. After all....a vampire has to blend in and not stick out like a sore thumb.
Walking away from the village I took two steps and was airborn. My veins pumping with the fresh blood making me warm to the touch. I flew around the mansion, sensing Kat was asleep inside. The thought of seeing her again was new to me but not in a bad way.
I landed on the balcony and opened the doors, drifting inside, I put away my sword in a secure place. Her sleeping face lay on the plush pillow. The rest of her body, hidden under the bedclothes. Silently, I went to the bathroom to take a proper shower. After I bathed I slicked my dark thick wavy mass of hair back from my face and wrapped a towel around my hips. A smile creeped up on my lips as I went to my room where Kat was sleeping. I whistled a toon, waking her. Her sleepy dreamy eyes saw me just as I purposefully dropped my towel. Her jaw dropped at the sight of my body. I arched a elegant brow. "What it is wild Kat? Never seen a naked man before? After all, this is my room. It is where all my clothing is kept." I gestured widely with my hands to the room.
Turning around, she could see my backside as I stepped slowly in a pair of jeans then slid on a t-shirt snuggly over my muscular abs. Was she still pissed off? Probly. But she would not be my wild Kat if she were not...would she? I turned back around to face her. A smug grin on my lips. "What. Did you do lastnight?"

She had spent most of the first half of the day trying to search for him...but every door and window was locked and she could not even leave the mansion if she had wanted to. This was frustrating and angering to no end. Finally, she had moved back into the bedroom, slipping into the night gown provided, because she was in no way going to sleep nakie like she normally did. She had begrudgingly let sleep take her over...for if she didn't, she would more than likely pass out later that night and she wanted to be awake when he returned.
~The Next Night~
Her firey hair lay in a halo around her head, waves having taken hold of it last night when it had finally dried. She felt better that she had dried now. In her slumber, she heard something, a whistled tune of some kind and she made a small sound that escaped her lips as she turned over slowly, groggily. Her eyes fluttered open and the first thing she saw was that man standing there, completely nude...a smug look on his face as he arched a brow at her and she sat up straight now, her jaw nearly dropped in shock. She bristeled with anger as he turned around, her cheeks becoming flushed red again as the blood burned to the surface. First, the assault last night, now he exposes himself?
She forced her eyes away, not admitting to herself that he was rather attractive...but even if he was, it didn't give him the right to do what he did. It seemed that he was going to be just as rude as she. When she saw movement, she could tell he had clothed himself and she turned her eyes back to him, her eyes narrowed angrily, defiantely at him.
"Don't call me wild Kat...it's just Kat...and what I did last night is none of your buisness."
She said in a growl and felt the first cool breeze from the balcony caress her flesh and she lifted the blanket up to cover her top half, since the night gown didn't leave much to the imagination. Normally, she actually wore clothes that flattered and emphasised her features...but now, it was different. She wasn't trying to get attention from anyone, let alone him. He was the focus of her anger. She moved now as she thought of something...remembering last night and she stalked towards him, forgeting the blanket behind as her intentions were her only focus. As she reached him, her fist swung out towards his face hard, hoping to impact.
"That's for kissing me last night...don't ever try touching me again."
She said in a voice deep with anger, her eyes beganing to already swirl and glow once more as it was sparked by the rage that had built up.

Her eyes held that same anger but for a brief moment I had seen them soften. There was something more inside her. I could feel it. And not just the attraction. She hated the pet name I gave her said that what she done was none of my buisness!
"Like hell woman! You are a guest here and I will know what you do for there are dangers here that you do not understand." I watched her drop the blanket and come towards me. Her pert nipples poking through the material of the night gown. My manhood grew hard. I was getting a damn good view, licking my lips. Suddenly her tiny hand slashed out. At first I thought she maybe swatting at a fly but then I felt it. Like a love tap. I blinked. She had struck me. I never had a woman hit me before nor had I ever hit one. I blinked again as she blathered about the kiss I stole.
"You. You struck me." Moving in a blur I had her pushed up against the wall. My hands wrapped around her wrist, above her head, my body flush with hers. I looked into her swirling blue eyes, leaning into her, my lips whispered against hers as I spoke.
"Twasn't a bad kiss." My lips moved, grazing across her cheek and down the side of her neck. I suckled the flesh and lightly kissed it, warm breath fanning her skin. "If you did not like it you would have not purred so my Kat." She growled. I pressed closer, voice in a throaty reply. "That's right....show me your fire." I tipped her head back with my index finger and brought my lips down on hers. My passion matched her anger in the fiery kiss. I savored it. Drew it out. Arousal growing. My balls ached. Slowly I released her wrist. Her arms came around me and mine around her. I deepend the kiss, thrusting my tongue inside her mouth. I strained against her as she strained against me. One sexy leg raised up and wrapped around my hip. And then suddenly I shoved myself away from her. Panting. She was sucking something from me and any second longer I would have tore off her nightgown and fucked her mercilessly.
"Come on." I tugged her hand to leave the room. We went towards the west wing to Dr. Rowan's room. "This is Dr.Rowan's room. Find you some clothing to wear. She isn't here tonight. Had to go back to New Orleans on an emergency." I reached into my pocket for my wallet and gave her a plastic visa card. "You may take this and buy what ever you want tomorrow. The car is around back. The keys are in it." I knew she was mad at me for locking the place up like prison lastnight and I wanted her to feel at ease.
"Dr. Rowan Mayfair hired me to watch over the Taltos here. They are different creatures. They look human but more...larger then most. And they are not to smart either. The west wing is off limits you see for it is their personal private space. They frighten easily and Dr. Mayfair wants them calm and happy. She is tring to talk them into going back with her to New Orleans to Mayfair Medical where they will be under her complete care and safe."
I strode to the door. "Get dressed and meet me down stairs in the kitchen. I want to talk to you further about what you are. I know you are different as well. I felt it." And with that I walked out of the door to the kitchens.

((Sorry about the delayed reply))
She felt the satisfaction of her fist connect with his face, but it quickly faded when he hardly even flinched. She might have even tried to hit him again, but before she could do anything, he was shoving her against the wall, his hands wrapped around her wrists above her head, his body hard against her own. She felt as if her heart had just risen up into her throat as he leaned in, his voice whispered against her lips and she tried to jerk her hands out of his grip, but she could not. She shivered as she felt his lips brush down her neck and she could feel her power perk up a little bit, recognizinging the way her body was reacting. She made a small sound at the back of her throat as she felt his lips kiss and suckle at her neck. His next words made her anger rush in, mixing with her excitement and she let a growl escape her lips.
"You wouldn't know what makes me purr.."
She growled and the he was pressing closer and the conflict in her feelings confused her. How could she be so angry and yet her body betray her? She felt him tilt her head back with a finger and his lips pressed to her own and another sound escaped her throat, need mixed with anger, but the anger was quickly fading. By the time that he let her arms go, they were wrapping around him, everything happening too fast to follow, but instinct was taking over. She excepted his tongue into her mouth, her own playing against his, her leg came up to wrap around his waist. She could feel her power...her siren half began to try and feed from him through thier touch. And then suddenly, he wasn't there anymore. Instead, he was panting, standing away from her.
She was speechless as he tugged on her hand and guided her out of the room and through the house until they reached the west wing, which he explained was Dr. Rowan's room. She nodded wordlessly as he told her to find herself something to where and was equally surprised when he handed her his card. He went on to explain why he was here, and why the west wing was off limits. She nodded in agreement as he stood at the door and she stared at him silently for a moment then averted her gaze. When she looked up, he was gone. What had come over her? What had that all been about? One second, she had been furious with him...the next....she shook her head as if clearing her mind and searched through the drawers until she found a pair of hip hugging green cargo pants that tied at the waist and a white sleeveless tank top. She changed quickly and slipped on the clothes before tucking the card into one of the many pockets.
Before long, she was heading downstairs and into the kitchen. She saw him, her gaze lingering on him before moving to a chair and swinging it around to stradle it backwards and lean her chest against the back of it as she glanced at him. She still hadn't figured anything out yet...she couldn't even start to figure out what she was going to do...or exactly how she felt. She didn't exactly trust herself alone with him....not if she didn't know what she was going to do. She didn't like not having control of things. She opted to stare down at the table.
"I'm not human...I'm...a Siren."
She said and then glanced up at him for a moment.
"And no, I'm not shitting you. If you're unbelieving, you wouldn't be the first. But I was born a Siren...my powers were binded as a baby when my parents left me with a mortal family..."
She said, shifting her gaze back to the table, passing a tongue over her upper lip, not sure what he would think or do, having this new information.

I straightened to my full height when she said she was a Siren. Putting two and two together, I did believe in Greek Mythology. Maybe she was a sea nymph? I had found her by the ocean shore. And sailors where drawn to them by their enchanting singing.
"Mermaid?" I gave a quizzical stare. By Zeus that had to be it! I remembered having to plug my ears with beeswax while sailing across the ocean to ignore the Sirens song. Twas a necessary thing to do, other wise the men would have gone overboard to go to their calling. Back in my time the Sirens where sometimes forms of the sparrow with bird legs and wings but breast of a woman. She was no bird.
My eyes were unblinking when she glanced up at me. I was glad she was not scowling this time. My eyes went straight to her mouth when I caught her swiping her tongue across her top lip to moisten it. Ye gods I wanted to kiss those lips again! What did shitting you mean? I did not know the slang and it confused me. Turning away from her I opened the ice box and took out some food for her. I knew she had to be hungry. First, I took out some grapes and washed them at the sink, placing them in a bowl. Cheese and bread, I put on a platter. I searched the cabinets for some glasses and poured her some water, wine and milk. I did not know which she would take so I brought it all to the table and sat in a chair across from her.
My icy blue eyes reflecting in the dimly lit kitchen as I gazed at her. I leaned back and crossed my arms. "I do believe." My voice breaking the slience sounding quiet yet deep. "Having a mortal family is not a bad thing. I was mortal once...until I was taken." The memory of that night in the cave brought a shiver up my spine and I did not like to think about it. I leaned in and rested my laced fingers on the table. "Why did your parents leave you?" Surely they were mad to leave her behind.

Kat had to force herself not to laugh as he asked the simple question "Mermaid?". She shook her head and watched as he moved to the icebox and began to pull out food. Her eyes went wide for a moment and hunger lingered in them as she stared at the food. She had not realized how hungry she was until now. She had not had anything to eat since lunch before the ship had crashed that night. She didn't even know how long it had been since then. When he set the things in front of her, she delved into it, manners forgotten. Slender pale fingers grabbed at the grapes, slipping them into her mouth to chew. The sweetness of it filled her mouth and she almost moaned. She hurriedly went for the wine, but made herself slow down. The food wasn't going anywhere and neither was the wine or other drinks.
She glanced at him once before taking the glass in her hand and pulling the edge to her lips to let the sweet liquid linger on her tongue, savoring it for a moment before swallowing. She shifted her gaze to him and set the glass down. When he asked her about her parents, her real parents, her eyes darkened for a moment and then she shifted her gaze away, letting her shoulders shrug.
"I don't know. They were rogues...outcast from the Siren society. Made they thought that the other Sirens would kill me...I don't know. I've only met one other Siren like myself...she sounded nuts though. Kept babbling about me being the reincarnation of the very first Siren and how she had to return my memories."
She said, rolling her eyes before taking a peie of bread and cheese. She drew in a breath and let it out in a sigh as she let her eyes linger on the table for a moment before shifting them back to him.
"And no...I'm not a Mermaid...I'm a Siren. Although I'm not surprised that you don't know much about my kind. Hell, even I don't know that much and I am one. Apparently, they live in a realm or plane outside of this one and only show themselves when they need to feed. I've heard that they take human and inhuman slaves alike back with them to feed upon...but again, that's just hearsay. I didn't stop to chat with the psycho that confronted me. I was too buisy trying to get away from her. We feed off of....essence, energy...and as you know, no matter if a being is alive or dea, thier bodies still contain energy and essence. When I first came into my powers, I nearly killed an 800 year old vampire at the theatre I was staying at. Not to say he didn't deserve it..." A vague dark look passed over her face, but it was fleeting. "But it was an accident. The beings at the Theatre didn't see it that way. They sent an assassin after me. Apparently found me too threatening for someone so young. At the time, I didn't have any control over my powers. The Siren part of me would just take over and try to feed when she wished, not caring if it killed anyone. I've got a little better at controling somethings..."
She said, grabbing a few more grapes and she was silent for a few moments, as if contemplating.
"I know I can set things on fire...and I can conjure fire in my hands...even make it spread to other parts of my body. I know that I have claws, when I'm in battle...but I don't know how to control those yet. They just seem to come when I need them. I know I have a shriek that can break glass...that was a rather interesting discovery..."
She said, a half grin upon her lips as she shook her head.
"I might be able to anwser any questions you have, if you have any."
She said slowly, as if reluctant at first to make the offer. Her eyes lingered on his face for a moment before shifting back to the food and she took the glass of water and took a sip before diving into the grapes again.

I watched her as she ate the food and drank the wine. Her sultry mouth seemed to savor each bite and each swallow. She was pleased with my selection which in turn pleased me. Kat was uncomfortable at my last question about her real parents. I could tell. But she went on to explain and I listened with much interest. Siren society? Well, there must be another branch of Siren's he was unaware of. I shifted in my chair, leaning closer towards her.
"Not a Mermaid? You are right. I do not know much about your kind. I would like to know though. You intrest me muchly, woman." It was confusing. Mermaids were sirens that sang a sirens song. My eyes searched her lovely face as she went on to explain that she feed off essence and energy. I had to ask. "So when I kissed you....that was you drawing on my energy?" Yes I had felt it and I did not know what to think of it. I did know that I was stronger then the eight hundred year old vampire she had almost killed. I could endure what ever powers she possessed. And her powers where quite useful when she was in battle....
Battle? Oh yes. I liked battle. This woman had me more drawn to her everytime she spoke of something new about her. I knew then I would have to woo her. Back in my time wooing was to give her father a cow or land. This would be a challenge. I have heard of dating but I had never been on a date. I would not put her under my spell. No. Vampiric powers were out. I wanted to do this fairly. Maybe she would even like me in return? I pushed those thoughts away for now and turned to the conversation at hand. I did want to ask more questions. To know more.
"This assassin....they are still after you?" A flash of anger shown on my face. I did not like the idea of someone hunting her down to kill her. I just met her and knew I did not want to lose her. "I want you to stay with me." Her face held a bit of surprise. "I can protect you."

((lmfao...she didn't kill Wolf, just almost did.))
She glanced at him as he spoke and she gave a half smile, even though a part of her was still angry with him. She still found it a bit humorous. She nodded her head and gave him a sidelong glance. "Yes, that was. Sometimes, it tends to do what it wants." She continued to eat until most of the grapes were gone. She took a long sip of her water and almost choked on it as he told her he wanted her to stay with him. Her eyes grew wide for a moment and she was just as surprised by the look on his face. She quickly recomposed herself though and looked at him, all humour from her face.
"I can protect myself. And yes, they are still after me. Why do you care what happens to me? You just met me. Don't think that just because you pulled me from the beach that I'm going to stay here and play kissy face with you. I don't believe in anyone doing anything for the true good of anyone without personal intentions. I'm not stupid and I'm not niave."
She said bluntly, her eyes baring into his own before shifting them to the cheese and bread and took a peice of eat and plopped them into her mouth. She didn't care how she had felt earlier or how she had reacted...she couldn't let herself get involved with this man. She didn't trust him, even if he had been nice to her since what had happened upstairs. She had been through too much to still hold those innocent beliefs that anyone did anything out of the good of thier heart, so to speak.

((Little forgotten word added on last post.)) She almost choked on her reply. I knew she thought I only wanted one thing. Though the thought of bedding the red headed wench was a pleasant one. She would be at my mercy when the time came. And there would be a time. A sly smile curved on my lips. Kat was being plain stubborn again. Such a fireball! "I am sure you could protect yourself, she-who-washes-up-on-the-beach. If they are still after you wouldn't you want to be same place safe? Why not here? Unless you have plans but then where would you go?" I gave a look of askance as she contiued to eat. Hungry little kitten she was. Kissy face? Another term I did not fully understand. My voice held a note of promise in responce to it. "I do not play...." I shrugged when she asked why would I care. There was no reason to let her know I was infatuated with her. The truth was there was more to it then just that. "Maybe I think you are not so bad. We may have just met but I am trying to get to know you. Tis hard though." Lifting my chin, looking her up and down. "You are a stubborn little wench and you have a sassy little mouth." A mouth I wanted to kiss until she purred again and reacted to my touch. "Twas all your man friends afraid of you?" My gazed settled on her face. I for one, was not afraid of her. Of course my wild Kat frowned up at me with that question. I liked to spark her fire. Twas thrilling to watch her react to me. I simply pretended to ignore her growls and evil eyes. Inside, my heart was thumping with excitement but I appeared calm and collected. "I do not jest when I say I want you to stay. I know you are not stupid. You just have not found anyone you can trust because you have not stopped running long enough to give anyone a chance." Tilting my head to the side, I watched her ponder this. To keep running was like a bad habit for her. A habit I wanted to break. I looked up to the ceiling. On the floor above, there was movement inside the mansion. The sisters. I stood up and came around to Kat's side. "The Taltos are coming this way." I extended my hand to her. "Let us go for a walk outside and get some fresh air shall we? The sisters may want their privacy while they come down here to the kitchens to eat." She hesitated in taking my hand. "It's alright. I will not bite you....unless you want me too." I said in a joking manner, biting my bottom lip seductively as I gave a wink.

She lifted a brow at his little nick name. And why was he trying to convince her so? She finished up what she was chewing and then looked at him. "Will you drop the pet names? Just call me Kat already..." She muttered, her eyes shifting back to her food, but she stopped as he spoke again and she glanced up at him. Did not play? Oh. When he spoke of all her male friends being afraid of her, she frowned at him. She didn't have many friends at this point, but the ones from the past...were they all afraid of her? She know that she purposely tried to make herself intimadating at times...but...
She shrugged and narrowed her eyes some. "It's not about not giving anyone a chance...it's about me saving my ass from getting killed." She said, an edge to her voice. But he was right...where would she go? She glanced up at the creaking ceiling and then back at his hand. She hesiated and grimaced at his joke....she wasn't that fond of most vampires. So far, she had had a faily bad impression of them. She let out a sigh and took his hand to let him lead her out of the house.
"I will think about it, how about that? No promises...and one wrong move and I will hurt you and then I will be gone."
She said, a bite to her words, showing him her seriousness at the statement.

I smiled warmly at her ruffled reply to the pet name. Did she not know that men do that because they like someone? I was not going to be led around by the nose from a slip of a girl even though, I would respect her wishes. "Alright.....Kat." I listened to her as she explained her survival did not have anything to do with giving someone a chance. Maybe so but the question was....would she give ME a chance. A chance I would love to have finally. She said she would think about staying and I nodded once. "Agreed. I will not make a "wrong" move. I promise."
Taking her small hand in mine, I lead her away from the house to the beach. Still holding her hand, I laced my fingers with hers. I scanned the area for the deadly creatures that lurked in the darkness. Strangley there was none.
We walked within the nights warm tropical breeze. The moon half hid behind the dark clouds, the soft light shone on her womanly features, showing me everything. Ocean waves crashed upon the rocky shore. The smell of salt in the air mixed with woman...my woman. Her body was so close to me, my head clouding with dreams of being with such a strong beautiful woman to call my own. Her eyes were a velvety blue in the dark. Kat's hair blew in the wind, a few strands brushed across my face. I closed my eyes briefly, catching the scent of her. The warmth of her hand was a precious gift. Her hook was deep and I could not even let her know. But I would be by her side...for as long as she wanted to stay.
For as long as I have been alive, it did not take me long to know I care for her deeply but I did not know if this was love or if I was just fooling myself. Could happy days last? Or would she just see me as a holiday, a temperary safe haven until she decied to leave and take away...take away perhaps my heart if I was with her too much? Could I let her leave then? Perhaps she would not. If she left tomorrow I would never forget this night. This night she had allowed me to touch her with her own free will when she took my hand. I smiled at her.
"Kat. I just wanted to say. I think your beautiful. And I wanted to thank you for going with me on this lovely walk tonight." I could not help the words that just came from my mouth. They just spilled out like wine pouring from a bottle.

She was pleased when he agreed to just call her Kat. She felt him take her hand in his own, leading her away from the house before the others came down. They were moving down a path and soon came to the beach and she felt him intwine his fingers with her own. They walked along the beach, the moonlight casting a pale bluish glow over everything, making her pale skin almost glow underneath it and it wasn't supernatrally so. She shifted her gaze to the crashing waves, finding it soothing to her. She had always found it so, especially at night.
Her hair tossed around her head as the wind blew around them and she tucked a strand behind her ear to get it out of her eyes. She wondered what thoughts ran through his mind. She still did not completely trust him, as she never gave her trust completely...that...and she didn't trust herself or him with him alone. She wasn't sure why she had given in like she had in the room...it was as if her body had known that she had needed the touch...needed the connection, even though her mind had protested...though she would not admit that a part of her had liked it, craved it. It wasn't the first time that she had objected to getting close to someone. She hadn't been close to someone in...a very long time. She was startled out of her thoughts as he spoke and she stared up at him blankly for a moment, the words taking a few moments to process. She was taken aback by it, but she did not show it. She shifted her eyes to look around them and she realized just how...romantic a place like this could be and she could feel part of her wanting to run back to the house, to panic, but she did not, forcing herself to stay as she pulled her gaze back to him.
"Thank you...and you're welcome. Where are we, exactly? Where did I end up?"

_______"Not far from where I found you...come. I'll show you." I took her up the beach about half a mile to the exact spot where I found her. "This is where I found you." I slid my hands into my pockets, the breeze whipping my clothes and hair as I stared out across the water wondering if the people she had traveled with was looking for her, a muscle working in my jaw. The thought of them taking her away made me more determined to protect her. I did not want to tarry long. "I want to show you something, Kat. Come with me." I began to coax her away as I walked towards the waterfall over the hillside. It was a place I had found while being up all those lonely nights. So I explored this island by himself. I took her fingertips and gracefully led her up the rocky stone steps until we were behind the waterfall. It was dark only for a moment as she clung to me. "It's alright...I've got you." I used the fire gift and lit the candles I had placed here. I never thought that I would show someone this place and Kat was the one that gave me great pleasure to do so. I smiled down at her and lifted her hand to my lips and kissed the back of it. "There is more I want to show you." I took her deeper into the cave. We came upon an underground hot springs. I lit the candles once again. "The water is the same color as your eyes, Kat." My finger trailed down her cheek as I just realized it. The steam off the water rose up all around us. Along the walls where jewels and gold treasures, left undiscovered until I had found them but I left them untouched. It added to the beauty of this place. To take them away would be a shame. I walked around, letting her soak up the atmospere, hoping I wasn't too forceful in bringing her here. "I come here from time to time...just to be by myself...which is quite often. It is beautiful is it not?"

When he spoke, it wasn't what she had meant, but she nodded softly for the moment, following him up the beach until he stopped and she moved from him a little closer to the ocean, her electric blue eyes staring out half dazed, as if searching for the remains of the ship that had crashed, but she saw nothing. She didn't realize how the impact of the reality that she was stuck on this mysterious island with a stranger she didn't know, would be solidified by not seeing that ship. She had grown quiet and was half in a daze as he coaxed her away from the shore and she wasn't even sure if she had heard what he had said right, she had been so absorbed in her search and thought. Reality drifted back to her as they began to climb up teh stoney steps, her hand in his. Where was he taking her? Of course, her mind was telling her that she should go, that she should stay near the shore, look for a ship to come by or something, though the thought was ridiculous. Now, they were behind a waterfall and darkness surrounded them. Despite herself, her hands clutched him, her eyes fluttering about her. She was brought to her senses as he spoke and she reached that she was clutching to him like some damsil in distress and she jerked her hands away, hoping the blush wasn't noticed.
She watched as the fire light flickered along the cool earthy walls and she turned her gaze back to him as he kissed the back of her hand. Her heart was fluttering in her chest, part of her wanting to run away, part of her intrigued...but she allowed him to lead her deeper within the cave. Her breath caught in her throat as they came upon an underground hotsprings and he lit the fire again, the fire light sparkling against the jewels and gold beset in the walls and the steam rose up around them. She could feel her skin warm to the steam. She had heard his voice and she turned her gaze up to his own and she felt his finger trail down her cheek and a shiver passed through her, heart skipping a beat. She shifted her eyes away and felt him move from her. She lifted her gaze once more to thier surroundings and she took a hesitant step in further. "Yes....it's very beautiful....it's a wonder such beautiful places like this exist anymore...but I suppose it makes it all the more sweeter when you find them." She said softly, almost speaking to herself as she let her eyes wander around the walls, to the hotsprings. He was right, the water was fairly close to the color of her eyes. Her eyes shifted to him and thoughts of the entirety of her experience here fluttered through her mind and she spoke softly, though there was a demand to her words. "Why do you want me to stay here so badly?" She asked. She knew that the question was out of nowhere...but she had to know. She understood hospitality...but he had been so persistant and she wondered why that had been...she didn't trust the intentions of anyone and her guards were always up. She had learned not to trust anyone easily....it could be the hurt or death of you.

The sound of her voice traveled across the air and slid down my body like a velvet glove. My back to her as I fingered one of the diamonds stuck in the wall, eyes closed. I could hardly breath being in such an atmospere with her. All my muscles seem to contract, wanting her. My mind was in a haze of blurred visions of us both naked, wrapped together under the stars, making love.
"Yes...." My head slowly raised, coming out of the stupor I was in. "And to share it with someone makes it sweeter then the discovery it's self." My voice husky in reply. I turned to her, watching her look around the cave, my breathing faintly heard. "It makes it even better....yes." She returned my gaze. Wanting to know why I wanted her to stay. Could I really say it in words yet? No. Then I would have to show her.
I could not stop myself. My footsteps echoed in the cave, silhoutte moving along the stone wall as I approached her. "Because..." My voice was deep and throaty, ricocheting softly all around us. I stopped before her, taking a lock of red hair, letting it slip through my fingers. My hands came to her shoulders, gliding down her arms. "I need to protect you, keep you safe." I took her hand and laid it across my thunderous beating heart. "And because of this..." Our eyes were locked in an unbreakable lovers stare. I gathered her face into my hands. "And....." I slowly leaned forward, my lips whispering against hers. "Because of this...." My lips pressed to hers softly. I pulled away and slowly opened my eyes.
"We should go. I will take you back to the house now." I tried not to stare at her dazed expression. I had not wanted to offend her and if I had......well she had asked and if we stayed here any longer I would. I blew out the candles and lead her back towards the waterfall, blowing out those candles as well, then took her back down the stone steps.
We headed back down the beach when I felt a tingle go up my spine. My eyes scanned around the area. "Kat. Stay behind me." I strode ahead in pure confidence as the creature jumped out of the woods. I did not have my sword but I picked up a heavy log and swung it hard, knocking the creatures head clean off it's body. There were more coming. I had to get Kat back to the house where she would be safe. I dropped the log and quickly came back to her side and gathered her to me.
"Hold on tight." I lifted off the ground, taking her with me. I could feel her tense up and begin to panic as she saw the tops of the trees. "Your safe with me." I had to calm her down and the only way I knew how was to kiss her. I turned her head to mine and ravished her mouth, she began to relax and melt into me. The kiss became more passionate with each stroke of the tongue, breathing hard, getting hard, groaning against her lips, rubbing against each other. My mouth left her lips, going down her neck, pulling down the material of her shirt to reveal her shoulder, kissing and gently nipping the flesh as she wrapped one leg around my waist. She leaned back, the wind whipping her hair all around her. My head came between her breast, mouth on her warm skin, gliding over to one pert nipple, sucking hard on it through the material of her shirt. My throbbing member pressed tightly to the hot vee between her thighs.
We touched down gently on the balcony, still locked together. I took her over to the bed and laid her upon it. My hand sliding down her waist to her trembling thigh. I tore my mouth away, panting against her breast. I looked to her eyes, moving a few stray hairs from her face tenderly. "Tomorrow. Take the Jaguar and buy you something nice to wear. I will meet you at a place called Mango's. It is a tropical bar and grill about 10 miles west of here. Very classy and colorful. Will you meet me there or no?" I kissed her mouth over and over then forced myself away. There. I had asked her on a date. First date I would ever be on. I only hope I done it right?

She could see him, his back turned to her as his hand traveled the wall, fingering one of the jewels. She saw his head raise, his voice carrying out over the length of the cave. She met his eyes as he finally turned around and she involuntarily took a step back as he began to approach her. Something in his gaze made her heart flutter and beat hard against her chest. She wanted badly to run, but just as badly to stay. When he stopped in front of her, she almost flinched as he reached out and took a lock of her hair between his fingertips. Her heart jumped as his hands came up to rest on her shoulders and glide down her arms, and every muscle in her tensed. She heard his words, but they were like in a dream, surreal. She felt his hand take her own and press it to his chest where his heart beat hard against it...his voice filling her head and she could not get away from it and was not sure if she wanted to. A small sound escaped her lips as he pressed his lips to her own, but it was broke too soon.
She was pulled out of her daze as he pulled her forward and led her out of the cave and back towards the waterfall, watching him blow out the candles as they went. She was trying not to tremble and she was both strangly angered and in wonder and excitement. She was confused...heavily confused. She did not trust him fully and definately did not trust herself with him. As they reached the beach, he stopped and told her to stay behind him. Her senses had kicked in as well and all her muscles tensed, preparing. Her eyes widened slightly as the creature moved out from the woods and she narrowed her eyes, ready to fight if she must...but he took a log and swiftly decapitated the being and moved quickly to her, gathering her to him. Suddenly, they were flying into the air and she let out a little cry of surprise and protest, her body clutching to his own as they rose above the trees, her eyes wide. She was pulled from her gaze to the ground by his hands moving her face and his lips were suddenly pressed furiously to her own and her body melted into his own, his tongue meshing to hers, thier bodies pressing to each other. She could feel her long firey red hair whipping around them in the air. She whimpered softly, her breath catching in her throat and a soft tremble passed through her body as she felt his lips travel to the tender flesh of her throat and his hand moved her shirt away from her shoulder, exposing the tender pale flesh there as well. She whimpered again as he kissed and nipped at her sensative skin and her leg wrapped around his waist, her face tilting back to the darkened star lit sky, eyes fluttering closed as a low moan escaped her lips. He had found her weakness. She felt his lips travel between the deep cleavage of her breasts and then to one nipple through her shirt and she gasped, thier bodies pressing harder together.
Soon, they had landed on the balcony and he took her inside and laid her upon the soft bed, his hand sliding down her waist to her thigh. His mouth tore from her own, his eyes on her own. Her eyes had begun to glow softly, the electric color swirling together slowly. She felt him brush hairs away from her face and his next words caught her offguard. It took her a long moment to process them, as she was half dazed. Her thoughts were chaotic and she tried to speak, stampered and then tried again. "I...I don't know...I'm not sure...if that's....a good idea..." She whispered, her voice cracking, eyes showing her confusion...."Yes...yes...I'm go..and meet you..." She said, not sure if she had made the right choice, but it was as if she could not do otherwise. What was it about him that drove her this way? It scared her, confused her, angered her, and excited her all at once.

Kat was just as surprised as I was myself at the question. I caressed her face with the back of my finger, sliding it down the curve of her cheek as she stammered on her words, through anger and excitement. I felt her confusion. I think she was a little scared and a small part of me was too. She had said she would go. Something inside me swelled. I was actually.....happy. I could not hide my smile.
My hand reached around, slid up between her shoulder blades and lifted her against me. Her breast were smashed against my chest, neck exposed, lips parted, hair dishevelled as my vampire eyes looked into hers with this feeling I had lived without for centuries. I kissed her, not able to resist the sweet temptation of her lips, carefully laying her back down on the bed. I knew I would never get enough of her.
Mine.
I felt the familiar fatigue wash over me with the tingle I always recieved when the sun was about to rise. I wanted to stay. Regretably, our lips broke away slowly. "I'll meet you there one hour after sundown. I must go to my resting place." And then I left her in the same manner as I had before, appearing to simply vanish from the room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *One Hour After Sundown*
I landed not far from the club, dressed in a comfortable silk black shirt, black jeans and boots. The ocean waves hit the beach as I strolled towards the night club. The sounds of laughter and conversation sailed across the air as did the smell of food being cooked on the grills. Night bugs and birds chattered away, giving it more of a tropical effect.
As I came upon the entrance, several torches and colored lights illuminate the area around the club. Past the door, reggae-ish music played from a live band. The crowd was pumped up with the knowledge that some popular singer was going to perform tonight. The place was colorful and pleasant. Candles and fresh flowers decorated the inside, along with tropical plants, sea shells and art work. People from different origins gathered here, tourists.
Kat would love it.
"Good eveling and welcome to da Mango's." The black man in dreadlocks greeted me, smiling brightly in his loose fitting tan shirt and black slacks, holding what looked like a clip board.
"Good Evening." I replied.
"You have reservations, mon?" The Jamaican male asked.
"No...." I put my hand on his shoulder, making him look directly at me, hypnotizing him with my voice. "But I am sure you can find the best seating arrangements for my lady and I.....hmm?"
"Naa worry bout reservations." The black mans eyes glazed over. "Nadda problem, mon. Dis way."
I followed the agreeably respondent man to the very fine table with the ocean view. I respectfully took my seat, "This is very nice." The man smiled widely. "Is there any 'ting else I con get ya, mon?" Discreetly, I retrieved a couple of large bills and slipped them to the man. "There is a woman...her name is Kat....she has long red hair....very noticeable blue eyes....and is beautiful. When you see her...bring her to me...but not first before you gather a bouquet of those lovely roses I see displayed for purchase so I can give them to the lady once she arrives."
"Right away, mon. Will ya be needin' ta see a menu?" The man asked. I did not need a menu. The only thing I wanted was wild and her name was....Kat. But this was all for her tonight, her wish was my command, if only to see her smile...just once. "When the lady arrives, but for now...a bottle of your finest wine, thank you." He turned on his heel to complete his tasks as I sat there waiting for my woman, wondering what she had done during the day while I had slept. The thought of her coming to meet me made my ancient heart beat alittle faster. I smiled to myself, a rare gesture.
She did not feel herself, even though she knew that she was concious, that she was there, that this was real. She felt things that she had never really felt before, things that was completely out of her character, her being. Perhaps it was the crash mixed with everything that had been thrown at her since...that was what she kept telling herself. This man had something over her, she felt....though she would never admit it. It was something that she blamed upon the situation itself, different variables. All thought was lost as she felt his finger trail down her cheek. Her heart fluttered in her chest as she felt his hand reach around, sliding up between her shoulder blades to lift her, her body meshing against his own, leaving her neck exposed, her eyes gazing up at his, wide...and she felt as if ever single emotion were reflexed in her eyes, leaving her exposed and she hated it.
All of that fled her once more a she felt his lips press to her own, leaving her breathless and she felt him lower her to the bed, knew he was leaving her for the night, leaving her alone. She heard his words, echoing in her head and she nodded softly, half dazed. Then he was gone and she was left lying still and silent in the bed, the only sound her labored breathing into the room. And perhaps her still drumming heart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (One hour after sundown)
She sat in the jaguar outside of the club, staring forward at the place, though her thoughts were miles away. She had slept a good portion of the day, but had woken a couple of hourse before sundown. She had taken the jaguar as he had suggested and went to look for a dress. Normally, she would never let another guy really buy her clothes, she wasn't that kind of girl and rather liked her independance. But....she had no clothes...only what she had washed up on shore with and whatever she had borrowed. But for dinner? Nothing. So she had reluctantly went into town, eyes looking over various clothes. She had decided on a red dress...sleeveless, thin straps, low dip in the back to leave her back exposed until her waist. It clung to her curves and it's length was to her ankles, though there was a slit up her left leg to her thigh, leaving the material to flutter some when the wind licked at it. It was simple, but elegant, not too dressy, but enough to look nice.
She had gone home and swept her hair up off her face and neck into curls atop her head. The hair style only required a few bobpins and about ten minutes, even though it looked like a proffessional job. She had a knack with hair and make up design, always had. She left her make up rather simple, eyeliner a little thick at top, coming to a slight small curved point at the outer edges, and thin on the bottom lids. No eyeshadow though. On her lips, she wore a true deep plush red lipstick, so that it was a simple black and red mixture, leaving her eyes to stand out and gave her more of an old movie actress look than anything else. Oh yes...she had bought herself shoes....6 inch stilleto heels, straps to wrap up her calves. She had always been rather comfortable in heels, infact all of her shoes had had some sort of height to them, even her tennis shoes.
And now she sat in the car, trying to make herself get out of the car. She had been, first of all, mildly surprised at the restrant. For some reason, when she first arrived here, she had this weird feeling like the whole island was deserted. Nope...that was just her imagination playing with her head because she had crashed on this island...and maybe it was because of all those movies about how people get stranded on islands. Either way, the island wasn't abandoned and she was infact sitting here, staring at the club before her. It was quite lovely from the outside. Finally...she stepped out of the car and shut the door, making sure it was locked. She moved forward, eyes set forward towards the black man in the front with a clip board, dreads...very jamacan looking. She loved the atmosphere, very laid back. As much as she loved the metal scene, she liked the laid back sense of the place. And the ocean just gave such a touch to the place. When she approached, she shifted her eyes around, unsure and then back to him.
"I'm suppose to be meeting a man here...tall, black hair...really noticable blue eyes..."
She said, not sure if that would really help any, but she hoped that it would.

She was here. I did not even have to see her to know that the waiter was bringing her to our table. And from first glance...I was speechless as I rose to greet her from my seat.
Slowly.........
My gaze journeyed from her high heeled feet all the way up to her eyes with a look of promise. The dress she choose was sexier then anything I had ever seen. It hugged her in just the right places making me hard instantly, aching to reach out to touch her. Kat was the most beautiful woman in the world to me. I wanted her to know me....to except me...and perhaps..love me. And tonight, I was going to make her mine.
I swallowed hard, licking my suddenly parched lips as I extended the flowers to her. I was a very strong man but the site of her made me weak in the knees. "You look....you look beautiful." I smiled and gestured to her seat, pulling out her chair for her and as she sat down my cheek brushed hers. I closed my eyes briefly at her scent, almost overwhelming me.
"Gataki....you smell heavenly." I whispered ever so softly next to her ear before I took my seat across from her.
My eyes never left hers even when the waiter spoke and poured the wine. "Yes...bring the lady a menu...and..." I looked up to see waiter looking at her breast! A low rumble sounded deep in my throat as a warning. NO MAN was going to look at my woman like that! With a snap of the fingers I could very well rip out his heart but choose a different approach.
I stared at him until he happened to look my way, using my vampiric ability to hypnotize him as I leaned over the table, speaking in a hushed deep voice. "You will not look at her breast anymore and you will not have any lustful thoughts about her. Understood?" The waiter nodded and went about his buisness and I happily picked up my wine glass and swirled the liquid around before taking a small sip.
Oh yes, I wasn't quite like the Anne Rice Vampires but something more. More powerful. And tonight, Kat would know me. Tonight was a good night for discoveries and pleasures. Yes indeed. I could give Kat more pleasure then she'd ever known. Even in her wildest dreams. I would be the man she would hunger for and I would make sure of it.
"I thought I would let you order whatever you want. I already know what I want." My gaze settled on her steady beating pulse in her slender neck. I winked at her from over the menu.

As the waiter lead her to the table, she could already sense him. He finally came into veiw and the look in his eyes send a chill slowly down her spine to settle at the base of her spine and caused her heart to thump hard in her chest. She stood there for a long moment before he moved to slide the chair back for her. The words caused a soft blush to her lips. "Thank you..." She said softly before sinking gracefully down into the seat and she felt the brush of his cheek against hers as he spoke into her ear. His words sent another chill through her and she lowered her eyes for a moment so that he could not see the look in her eyes.
She settled comfortably in her seat and watched as the man poured the wine for them. She could feel the waiters eyes upon her and she realized what he was staring at just before she heart the low growl that came from Eudorus's throat, a sound that caused her to shudder softly. Somehow, she was surprised by the possessiveness and anger that was like a wave off of his energy, in his words. The feel of it made her breath catch in her throat and she sat stiffly in her seat. The waiter stood and left and she watched him across the table for a long moment, electric blue hues studying him carefully. Indeed...he was very handsome...very attractive and at times he made her weak and she did not trust herself with him. What did this man have over her? The thought of it made her want to leave this place, to go back home...home to what exactly? She didn't really have one, not really. She had been traveling around from place to place....never really staying one place for long.
She had a knack for finding herself in trouble. True, she had a temper, but that wasn't the only thing. At times, she didn't have control of her abilities and the siren in her would come out and cause destruction, or trouble, in the very least. She often waited through the days in fearful anticipation of the next time that the siren would rear it's ugly head. These times were often the cause for her running away. No one cared for the danger that she was. So young and yet so untame and powerful? No, the didn't like that at all. Some had even sent assassins after her. Some she had had confrontations with and her siren had...quickly disposed of them. It wasn't a pretty sight, when things of that sort happened. It was a rather...gory death, when her siren took control.
She was brought back from her thoughts as he spoke and his words caused her to blush again, her eyes sliding away, cheek reddening as the blood rushed to the surface. She passed a tongue over her upper lip and slid her eyes to the menu that was provided as the waiter came back with it. She took it within her hands and scanned the items. She peered up at the waiter and ordered a plate of fried shrimp with tartar sauce and then gave him back the menu. Then her eyes scaned over her surroundings and then back ot him. "This place is really kind of cool...I don't think I've ever been to a resteraunt like this before."

I had to wonder if the gods gave her to me as a gift? Had they not turned their backs on me after all? Even as I called upon the gods to aid me when I was brutally attacked by my maker....why did they not hear me? It was hard to say. T'was puzzling to me. Maybe I was suppose to become the monster that I am, to live out this lonely life until it was time for her to come to me?
I did not know.....
I studied her curiously, watching her tongue moisten her top lip, remembering it could be sharp at times, wondering if her haughtiness would flare up again, seeing that she had blushed. The more she tried to be on the defensive and showed her fiery temper the more it excited me. It was so refreshing to see her wild spirited side. I had never been so aroused by the mere presence of a woman.....and I have lived a very long time to know.
It was finally possible, for me to truly get past being cold and unfeeling, incapable of real passion. Then again, I would have to drive away her pride and fear, that guarded look in her dark eyes told me so. Ah....yesss. I would make her submissive to me whether she liked it or not. It was going to be force with her. And deep down I knew, Kat, was the type of woman that would never respect a man she could dominate and control. Although, she might try.
I remained silent until she spoke. I poured her somemore wine and then myself, cooly, looking back at her with soul-piercing blue eyes. "I too...have never been in a place like this but, Dr. Mayfair has dined here before. I heard her mention it to the Taltos when she was here last so, I thought you might enjoy it as well." The volume of my heart jumped up a knotch or two. My lips parted slightly, glimpsing a hint of fangs as my gums throbbed. I brought the wine glass to my lips and hesitated before taking another sip, raking a hot gaze over her face, neck, chest and naked arms. I knew she found me undeniably desirable. There was no need to read her mind to find out.
~~~~~
The waiter brought her food out quickly. She seemed to like it but the smell of it, I did not care for. I did not disturb her as she ate, in fact I had the waiter to bring her something sweet for dessert. Kat did not want more but I insisted. "That is vera good isn't it? No, please eat up, kitten. T'would be a shame if you fainted on me. You are going to need your strength." I winked at her once more with a dazzling smile, looking at her with glittering eyes, compelling her to do as I commanded.
When her napkin swiped across her mouth and slapped on the table after she had ate the dessert, her eyes blazed and my stomach done a flip-flop, eyes flaring, breathing alittle faster. I could feel the electrity between us vibrate. She was bubbling because I had won, got my way and she had no control over it but I did not cower from her reprimandsive stare. I gave an amused glance, then stood to my feet abrutly yet smoothly and extended my hand to her.
"Dance with me." My voice was rich and deep. I could see the wild pulse beating in her throat as she looked away. "Will you deny me a simple dance?" Her eyes went wide and uncertain at my proposal as she nervously stood to her feet. "Relax,....you act as if you made a bargain with the devil." I smiled slow and provocatively, flashing very white teeth. Her hand reached up to me, unsteady, shaking and I took it, wrapping elegant fingers carefully around hers and jerked her body to me. The feel of her in my arms sent my senses spinning. We danced slow to the fast music. My muscles rippled against her soft frame as my hands went to her lush hips to press her more fully to me, swaying slowly to the music. Raw, powerful sexuality seem to flow back and forth from me to her. Fed by stubborness and anger. Putting a handle on that was fast coming.....she just did not know it yet.
I searched her face for any sign of retaliation and raised a hand to her cheek, thumb stroking her cheekbone with such tenderness. "I have I told you, your beautiful?" My mouth curving in a charming half smile. When she smirked at me I lowered my head to the column of her neck and scraped my fangs across her flesh, erotically, tongue swirling over her rapid pulse and pressed a kiss there. She shuttered in my embrace and tensed. "Do not fear me." I whispered huskily. "I would never hurt you." It did not feel awkward for me to display affection towards her in public. Even if she protested.
The beat of the music thrummed through me as I held her possessively, not caring if she felt my heavy erection pressed next to her belly or that my hand casually slid down to touch her upper thigh through the slit of her dress. I was not aware of the other couples dancing or dinning all around us. All I saw was Kat, mesmerized, emotions swamping me. The blood in her viens sang out to me. She smelled like freshly picked roses in spring time.
"Gods...I need you." Warm breath flowed across her ear when I spoke seriously.
She could feel his eyes upon her and when she lifted those electric blue hues to his own, the look within his eyes made a slow cold shiver crawl down her spine. The shiver was both from a little bit of fear and excitement. She shuddered a little visibly and then quickly shifted her eyes to the glass of wine before her and took another sip, bringing the glass to her lips and taking in the sweet liquid. She let it linger on her tongue a moment before swallowing. What exactly had been that look in his eyes? She couldn't place it or put a finger on it...but it had made her uneasy.
Soon, the waiter had brought the food and she was glad for something to do with her hands. She would probably have been smoking a fit if she had cigarettes but she hadn't really even had a chance to get any since she had arrived her. She didn't have any money on her own and wasn't about to ask him for any. No way...she never asked anyone for money. She had always made it on her own. She reached out now and grabbed one of the shrimp and dipped it in the tartar sauce and plopped it into her mouth, chewing, savoring the taste and she could have died happy in that moment. She glanced up at the middle of her eating as he ordered the waiter to bring her dessert, freezing for a moment, surprised.
"Seriously, that's alright...I'll end up getting full before I even finish my shrimp..."
She said, but he had objected with saying that she would need her strength and she gave him a look of curiousity and also aggitation at him making the decision for her. She wasn't a child and he wasn't her Master or keeper. He had no right to tell her that she had to eat more. But after a few moments, she did not object any further, compelled to no longer argue the point with him and confusion flickered in her mind, but she continued to eat. She finished her shrimp and then eyed the dessert with reluctance, not looking forward to it. She gave him another look, but ate it and when she was finished, she swore she was going to bust the dress she had on if she did not hold her stomach in. She glared at him angrily for making her eat the dessert. She could literally feel the energy between them like something cuttable with a knife.
She was startled as he suddenly stood and held his hand out to her and spoke. She simply stared at his hand blinking for a moment. Her heart fluttered in her throat and she did not want to dance...but the thought still sent her pulse to thicken and she looked away. She heard his voice in her ears and her eyes went wide for a moment before looking back up at him. She didn't want to...instead, she wanted to get up and run, but she slowly stood to her feet instead, looking at him uncertianly. His next words didn't help her to relax, despite the content of them as she watched him smile, baring his fangs some and her heart leapt in her throat again. She slowly placed a slightly shaking hands within his own and she felt his fingers coil around her own.
A gasp escaped her lips as he suddenly jerked her body against his own and suddenly they were dancing, his arm strong and firm around her slender body and her head was spinning. She felt his hands pull her hips in against his body and she was furious and excited at once, and let's not forget the confusion, which was always there as well. She hadn't wanted to eat dessert, just as she hadn't wanted to dance, but yet here she was. She could feel the sexual tension between the two of them and it made her skin even hotter, fanning the fury as well. She was startled as his thumb suddenly came up to stroke her cheekbone gently and her eyes went wide for a moment and then she smirked some, but said nothing. Her heart leapt into her throat once more as his face leaned in and she felt his fangs scrape against her flesh and then suddenly, the tip of his tongue was gliding over the thick pulse in her throat, which only quickened it's pace. As he placed a kiss there, her body shuddered softly in his arms and his words whispered in her ear sent the room swaying for a moment. Her cheeks flushed, reddening as the blood rushed to them in both anger and excitement. She could feel him hold her firmly and hard against him and she when she felt his hardness against her through the clothes her eyes widened a little and her pulse thickened as she suddenly felt his fingertips touch her upper thigh underneath the slit of her dress.
Everything was spinning now and her anger and her excitement were in fast competition with her racing heart. What was going on? Suddenly, she did not know and fear jumped in the race. His next words sent her reeling and she let out an uncontroled whimper, which sent her cheeks to flush. She turned her face away and then spoke softly, the words thick and controled, but sounded as if she had trouble speaking. "Let's go home...I don't want to be here any longer..." She said in a near whisper, the very words difficult for her to muster. A part of her wanted to get away from her, desperately wanted to get away from him...another part wanted to bash his face in with her fists....and a third and equally as large as the second one part of her wanted to have him take her in anyway he wanted. She was trying to fight that last part desperately right now.
