..........
On an Island far,far away there were creatures of all kinds coming together. Brought together by the darkness of their immortal hearts. Among them were vampires, lycans and werewolves. All of them purely evil. Greed and the overwhelming desire to do evil had given them a goal to strive for, and so the one known as Alex took it upon himself to adopt this Island, take it and make it what it is today. A place on earth no man or woman should ever want to set foot on. For once they do, they shall never leave.
I wish I had never heard of this place, and had never received the letter that is still folded in my jacket pocket, the letter from my mortal parents, who still think I live my life writing the tales of the undead under the pseudonym name of Anne Rice.
But then....whatever. So I wrote one book, it became a best seller. Then another, I mean once I found out about Lestat I couldn't very well keep my mouth shut! Although technically he wrote the d**n book, not a very nice person kept getting into my d**n head every night dictating word for word! Got a f**king pc and typed it himself! Yeah right!
But anyway...here I am, on a jet plane going to the Bahamas, cause my little mortal brother whom I haven't seen since he was 15 and I was still mortal, and 30. Yeah, it's been over 20 year's, d**n how time flies when your an immortal! And so...the telegram, they sent me this telegram saying my kid brother has disappeared, they haven't seen him in years and then suddenly mail from this unknown Island comes to my parents home. By the way...I haven't seen my mortal parents since Armand made me what I am. But it's all cool, since this is all I have ever wanted. And I take care of my folks, I always have and I always will. And so I'm doing it again, gonna find out what my kid brothers been up to, I don't know how. I can't let him see what I have become, I can't let him know that while he has aged 20 years, I haven't aged a day past 30 years old when I was made.
The plane is landing now, there is a huge castle up ahead. I don't' know why but the hair on my arms and the back of my neck is rising. It's too d**n dark here, I don't like it. And although I read minds better than Louis, I still can't read past brick walls, and yet....I can hear my brother's voice. Older, stronger....and there is a horrible evilness to it. I dont' know what the f**k is going on here. But something tells me I should have brought Armand.
Also, there seems to be a change in him....like...oh hell no! It can't be! nuts! His heart! I can hear it beating through the castle walls, and it's not a human heartbeat, it's supernatural! Like a vampire! But it also has a beastly rhythm to it, like he's more than just a vampire! I have only experienced this sound once in my life, one night a few years after Armand made me, and we took a vacation trip to Transylvania. And that night Armand told me something that scared me nutsless! Well, bloodless perhaps...and it's on that night that I found out that there are more than vampires in this world, and then seconds before a werewolf almost ripped me to shreds, Armand grabbed me and flew me up to the night sky, and we never returned again. And now those same fears are returning to me, only now. I have no beloved master...No Boss to help me out of this mess. Oh nuts! d**n!
Ok, I have written this prologue just to get the party started.

Though my first inclination is to get the hell out of here as fast as inhumanly possible (something I am totally capable of, of course), instead, I run my fingers over the letter in my pocket and resign myself to probably being disembowled.
I wish fervently that Armand was with me, but I haven't seen or heard from my Maker in some time. From what I can hear, he is off with Marius or something, and I suppose I can't begrudge that. They have five centuries of catching up to do, after all... Nevermind that I feel neglected as all hell. My own fault, for falling for an imp like Armand.
At least now I have something else to distract me. My brother... or... what used to be my brother, is near me now. In that castle. And he's up to something. I mean, it's not that that surprises me, he always was up to something, but I get the feeling that this is a bit more than putting snakes in our cousin's bed.
Stepping out of the plane, I thank the pilot, heft my bag, and get my bearings. The humidity, as well as the way my pulse is racing, makes the blood sweat stand out on my forehead and neck. It's uncomfortable, and the stinging scent of my own blood makes me hungry, despite the fact that I've already fed. Wrinkling my nose against it, I push into the underbrush, making for the castle. Whatever is going to happen, is going to happen there. And that's where my brother is.
Well, on the bright side, at least I won't have to figure out a way to avoid seeing him directly, or explain why I haven't aged....

For some time he had been following the sound of that uncanny heartbeat, knowing what it meant- more or less, and not wanting to deal with it, while at the same time knowing he had to. Along the way, pushing through the bushes, he had encountered bodies. Disgusting, rotting, shredded bodies. As he had suspected, vampires were not the only things on this island. As he had suspected, and feared- not that he'd ever admit to being afraid.
Then there it was, the scent of hot, living blood. A distinct contrast to the green, wet smell of the plants and the foul stench of the blood of those corpses. He had already fed that night, but it still called to him with a sirens song. At any rate, someone living might have some answers, and the heartbeat he heard indicated a mortal.
Curious to see who else was on this clearly cursed island with him, he followed the sound of that heart, so much more normal and soothing than the pounding he had identified as belonging to his brother.
Then came the sound of voices, carried faintly on the breeze. Even with his vampiric hearing he could not make out the words at his distance, but apparently there were two, a man and a woman. To play a game with himself, he started attempting to make out the words, seeing how soon he could understand them, how far away from them he could force them to make sense.
The game was abruptly ended when an ear shattering scream echoed through the night. Well now... that was either exciting or dangerous... and either way, he wanted to know what was going on. After a moment of thought about his own stupidity and recklessness, he took to his feet and started running towards the scream.
